the “loose caboose” syndrome is another factor,on one clone the rear axle is so loose that when u pick it up it drops 3mm! no need for lube! the only prob is the crap clone tyres.

i hate the way my bog standard $30 cyclonas are so much better on the track than my tomy bcg’s, especially when: 1xcompact =$50
    1xkit racer (2.6) =$25
    1x gearset = $15
    1xsuspension kit= $15
    1xtireset = $15
    1x afx springs =$1
    1x nimh cell = $4
    total= $125.

you would think that a $ 120 bit could kickass but it doesnt mean didlysqaut!

my gf reckons that the only numbers that divide into 70 are 10,5 and 7. shypo count the number of possibilties within 72……….. flexable number isnt it?

is there room in the pull backs for spring suspension and shypo do you reckon that the steering assemly is at all usable/modable?

the dimensions of a compact skyline are not to scale! all bcg cars have deformed features and there for ARE NOT scale models.

the japs use sd all the time, and the u.s doesnt like the “cutesy” look as much as japan. zip zaps are a bit wider and yes they are true 1/64th.
but that doesn’t make bcg’s a different scale shypo, it’s like fat and thin people, there both still humans.

out of interest, which tomy shells have 4 doors.

    also a ratio of 1/70th is mathematically unsound.what maths did/are you studying.apart from 1/10 cars all other scales ( i thought )are multiples of 8. e.g. 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/72.

no need to censor my posts, it’s all in the name of freedom of opinion and democracy.

havn’t you ever found a shamrock!? i used to get about 3 every free period in year 12.

dude sd 1/64th is what bcg is. you may say alot but that doesnt mean you know everything.
the only reason you have such a high post count is cos of the crash…. and maybe your OBSESSED.

zip zaps are LONGER not larger.
the point of the metaphor is sound, we are talking actual mini-z not some shell you can “make”. have you ever seen 1/70 scale? never in all my years have I. there is 1/72 scale.

do you even understand scale? of couse scale is catagorized and equal! other wise no model would look right.my point is that the difference between true 1/72nd scale and sd 1/64 is huge, and obviously not just the difference between our 2 door bcg’s and 4 door zz’s

apologize shypo cos bcg’s ARE DEFORMED 1/64th
not “1/70th or deformed 1/70th” and admit you created the whole 1/70th thing.

i dont relly give a poo about mini-z anyways. go ask a couple of train mod geeks and find out.

cyclonas do go damn fast. the motors are not the secret though, its cheapo parts! raw power is what these ugly ducklings are about. noisy speed.
if they are up against bcg’s most clones WILL kick ass.

    ‘ere we go….

heaps of people allready have 27 and 40mhz cars. they are the only freq. comercially available, so i wouldnt buy the automodelista, unless your planning on getting another 3 booster chassis for the other cars and some booster controlers.
    jeez that would be good.

why did you tell us that! i’ve long been past the stage of bodgey glue. superglue has to crystalize in order to solidify, that tab cracked because of stress created by the heatsink and the shell. that glue will crack, and by the fifth layer of glue and sticky tape you will have spent the same amount of time as doing it propr.

    maybe…..

those tanks look cool, there on page 6 or 7 of the remote control section of ebay.au
cheap too, the dude says they are infared shooting, have five “health” lights, controller DOES operate the turret movement AND realistic modelling. they looked a little bigger than an audley tin can car and also come with heaps of terrain. i think these ones were under 100$

mini z is 1/32 scale not 1/24. 1/24 are those pre painted airfix nascar models. mini-z, audley and other tin cars are all 1/32.
1/70 scale? dont you mean 1/72 scale? thats military models. a 1/72 car is about half the size of a bcg, a panzer tank in 1/72 would be a little bit smaller than a bit.
bcg is sd (super deformed) 1/64th scale. its a japanese thing, i own a few sd gundam figures and their heads are equal proportions to their bodies!

any body seen the customizable mini-z style cars?

they arnt kyosho and i saw them on toyeast. you can change the distances of everything from ride height to wheel base length. for different shells.

shypo does a moris have the same length wheelbase as chevy? they are both still 1:1 scale arnt they?

buy a book on painting minatures or find a games workshop store, the paint techniques they have developed are awesome for 25mm scale figures, and simmilar small projects. also the paint is of an exteme quality acrylic, not like some paint.

oorgaaniiize it! nah, i dont creep around the bins of westfield! i found out how “good” the tomy reps are when it comes to warranty off a freind who runs the byron bay toy store.
the company offers total trust to its retailers it seems, if some kid brings one in broke jordan will ring tomy up and they will send him a new one, he chucks out the old “broken” one.

    replace broken with misunderstood.

f*ck america. talked to the major commercial distributer of tomy products in australia and they stated, everything you see in australia is last years craze in america, so this april all we poor australians will get is more 27mhz and 40mhz cars. last years “new” wrx,rx-7,Bb and celicas.
all i want is a lamborghini contach and a porche carera 911. not asking much am i.

why can cyclonas and nanos be 35 and 57mhz and be allowed to be imported? according to hasbro and jnh/funtime the only way is illegally.the person who told me this was an old woman, i’m not sexsist, i just think that she had no way of knowing anything about electronics or law.old secratary…..

an inteligent person at strathfeild car radios explained to me that they had requested that the law that limits the use of those frequencies be defined properly and the law is quite specific about the output and power of the signals. this limit is not exeeded by the tiny curcuits of the bit, so the use and import of 35 and 57mhz is not ILLEGAL. the creation of the 40mhz freq. and the abolition of sensibility by the toy industry in australia is the only criminal activity that is going on. thank hell for individual intelligence and the ability to challenge b.s. (bullsh*t)

those k.i.t racer chassis are a good source of tabs.:)
just cut the chassis at the edge of the back so that you are left with a tab attatched to a flat panel.
cut the old one off, (after you remove everything on the rear assembly) sand the back of the bit chassis about 2mm, sand the back of the kit tab plate about 1.5mm and glue in desired location. i.e raised or lowered (or level)
    have fun!
just remember not to stess your shells by not removing enough of the old tab.
