*nods* I’d be very keen to do a FET upgrade on mine (and document it for the site)…. Just need to get those FETs 😉

Yeah think some of the parts loose tolerance. Mine has a small amount of play – I need to finish working on it and invest in some decent wheels and tyres though before I have to go to the lengths that Jamie has 😉

OK – having had a peek at the logs (the vids are served from a server with a different logging system) it appears we can tell which ones HAVEN’T been referred by ausmicro.com

    …..

It woudl appear that a lot of our vids are being leeched directly…. *mutters*

They’re the only ones that have been brought to my attention… I suppose I could try and extract referrer IDs from logs etc…..

You could fabricate a small ‘box’ using two plates seperated by say 4 rods and a cross brace. For the rods use plastic sprue from the plastic kit and for the plates some thicker plastic.

Glue 1 plate to the side mount, the other plate to the inside of the shell?

Well – *grins* It may (or may not) be nail polish but either way it’s the true colour shift purple->gold stuff.

I’ve finished laying down the colour now and am about to start with some light polishing to see if I can even out the poor quality brushwork.

I haven’t unpacked/setup my hobby stuff since moving last month, been doing this in pieces at nights in front of the PC.

Once work situation settles down I’ll dig up some spare cash to get a ‘bare’ Mini-Z body and spray it properly – probably the first ‘official’ ausmicro.com shell.

They’re hauling it off the server I’m hosting it from. I could keep chopping and changing the filename on them but it’s just apain in the bum. They’ve ignored my e-mails…

On the idea of stickers, I’m tempted to use CafePress to make a couple fo sticker sheets. They’d need to be cut out first but one sticker piece woudl make stacks of Mini and Micr sized stickers.

Ofcourse they’re not cheap if you want them here…

Owning to a lack of response there will be no bulk distribution within Australia.

The mugs will be available to order from CafePress for the next 7 days.

    Hi Kerosene,
Unfortunately there’s no little French things, the 206 WRC clone that people are alluding too is the most dodgey thing around. I would avoid this at all costs.

    BTW, I would assume that you’ve got a Fench 1:1 car thing…

Would you like to buy a nice used 1:1 Renault Clio Sport 😉

I paid $10 for a jar of it. It’s brushed on at the moment, but I think I’ll have to thin it and spray – or brush still but at least it will ‘flow’ better.

The paint remains a little ausmicro.com secret 😉 *laughs* I’m actually planning on doing a Mini-Z shell with the stuff once I work out the best application methods etc

But I know your local car parts shop can source a ‘kit’ of pressure cans to spray larger objects.

I haven’t even driven that ute yet! It just looked like the perfect candidate for the paint test. I’ll finish up the paintwork on the weekend and maybe work on the rest of the styling ‘issues’ as well…

There’s another thread on this very matter. How you type things is your choice. There’s a full explanation in the other thread.

The mugs are made to order, we need a minimum of 15 to get the order up. If we don’t get 15 by Friday the order doesn’t go ahead.

If you want a mug and haven’t committed you WILL miss out (as will others if we don’t get 15)

Gold and Rep points are two unused features of the Forum code we don’t use. Loosely the Rep points build up as you post more and participate more and the Gold goes up as you do stuff as well. Neither serves any use in our implementation – and I’m probably going to remove it completely in the next round of updates.

*laughs* The database they run from was updated a few days ago and they seemed to go offair at that point. I’ll need to restore a few bits and pieces from backups I guess…

*laughs* Shypes I gotta pay for mine! *grins* I wish we could offer them at substantially lower prices but it would require way too many to be made (144 mugs!!!! is the minimum most palces work on)

Alloy definately isn’t a weight reduction – but being more rigid and better under some stress conditions can sometimes be a wise swap… Plus it looks so purty!
