you just need to find a PCB-mount tactile switch, that will be momentary open.

the one in the controller now is currently closed when you push it – you want one that opens when pushed. these switches do exist! hopefully will find a source soon.

no need to mess about with chips – just swap the switch over!

Images of the top-mounted capacitor – and how to get to it – are located at http://www.ausmicro.com/technical/bitcharg/transmitter-range-mod/index.htm

    Hope that helps?

Everyone, I added some new stats to the database. Specifically, I added the number of occurances in each frequency. Interesting results.

Well there was another thread posted on the same topic in the Discussion section, but that was 7 hours later. So I’d like to think I was first to point this out, even if it was posted in the wrong section :smiley14: Heh, I’m so selfishly proud…

    You guys being serious?

I mean, I could gethigh-quality quality cotton T-Shirts screened here for around AUD22.50 (around USD11.50) a pop on a mimimum order of 500pc (assorted sizes – all one colour)

If there’s enough interest I’m happy to get something happening. If we made it AUD25.00/USD13.00 per shirt, would that be a “reasonable” price for everyone to pay?

    Cheers

    Derek

Kitt has a great point. I like the ausmicro.com logo so just put in a drawing of the lancer instead of the real bit.

I was thinking you guys could do this in conjunction with the banners so you dont have to rely on volume sales, but I dont think volume will be a problem for you.

Im sure you can get set up with a company in austrailia but if not, I have a good friend in the printing business here in the US.

If you wanted to put pics of Bit Char-G’s on the t-shirt you could probably avoidTomy’s lawyers by using pics of OEM’s, making it obvious that they are miniature cars but not Tomy’s babies. Or get an artist to draw a miniature car ‘in-action’like the drawings on the front of Tamiya RC car boxes etc.

I had a similar experience with one of the cheaper “OEM” cars………I pulled apart the steering – and noticed that the magnet had a tonne of glue and rubbish all over it!!

I simply got some elecctrical contact cleaner on a rag – and cleaned the offending area. It is somewhat better now – hoever not as good as the “REAL” Bit Char G’s…..

I am intersted in the fact that adding a small stip of metal improved the responce – very interesting !!

    Cheers

Thanks for the feedback again guys im glad your giving me ideas and possible improvements.

I have now decided to sell the circuit board on its own complete (as seen in the picture above, apart from the 3V battery and the on/off swich) For 9GBP this does not include the LEDs either.

No, I think the pricing is reasonable – never said it wasn’t.

Also as for commenting on other people’s grammer and spelling understand this, it is generally acceptible on most message boards and chat rooms to use extensive abbreviation and “internet lingo” i.e. Lol, IMHO and so forth.

Granted – but sometimes the way you use the words reflects your attitude and can come across negatively thus causing arguments. BTW (that’s ‘By The Way’ in case you didn’t know!)you spelt ‘grammer’ wrong :smiley8:
