    rye256,

Even if you have some experience with soldering, surface-mount can be very tricky–just so you know.

Markee – the site is an Australian site (thus Ausmicro), so they are talking Australian dollars. $100 AUS is about $50 USD. However, the Aussies are getting a pretty bad deal because of import taxes.

I think I’d go with one of the bits with a 1.0 motor. The trueno sounds line a good set. I forget…does that have a 2.2 or 1.0?

The paper idea can be pretty easy to do too…get a bunch of “holes” from the hole puncher at work or buy some confetti. And as you drive the course, the track conditions will change getting better in some spots, worse in others. Excellent idea Aquila.

For water puddles, maybe you can use some of shiny blue confetti.

I just cut the cap and now my range has TRIPLED! I used to have about 6ft range before it stuttered. Now I went the full length of my kitchen (~18ft), around the island (out of sight) and back! I’ll try to get a picture up tomorrow.

EDIT: I also decided to open up my multichannel remote to see if the same mod would work on that. As far as I can tell, the answer is no. Also, I suggest notopening your multichannel remotes…there are far more piecesthat can be easily lost and are not secured.

I’m using ie5.5 and I have the same problem, all envelopes are open, even after reading the thread. Can you elaborate on the proxy issue as it’s very difficult to keep track of what I’ve read and what I haven’t . . . and I want to make sure that I read everything 🙂

DUDE! Beautiful! I haven’t gotten my car yet, but I can’t wait to start making tracks, and I was trying to think of kind of the same thing (rally mode). Now I just have to figure out how to do some water puddles!

My booster car is great Ive been having lots of fun with it. But the 3.0 motor is a waste. Allthough it works in my friends car it hardly works in mine. Ive tried 3 different motors, all suck. In my friends car it has a slow wind up but has a better top speed. All in all the 2.2 is way faster overall.

    Derek:

check out this site for GREAT pics of a digi-Q track in action…the pics are huge, so they take awhile to download, but are worth it…it should answer any question you have about the digi-Q railings.

What every good car show has is cleavage….

So it goes, that Bit Char-G’s need cleavage to…

Here’s my thought on this subject…

You get hold of a lass with ample, ummm… cleavage, and position the car within the, ummm… cleavage…

Of course the model will need to sign a release form…

Derek and I can now supply booster cars for under US$50 and if we get a good buy point on 3.0 motors we can better those package prices.

I should describe how we determine pricing and source our cars….In another post maybe…

    Hi Dave!

I’ve JUST finished photographing the board and adding some labels to the images. Check out this new galleryand let me know if it helps.

WARNING: People on dial-up connections should note that the first image is *BIG* at 474KB in size

Oh…. to actually answer your question…. V+ is the red wire from the battery.

    Cheers

ohhh I have about 4 or 5 3.0 motors available now – we paid a lot of US$ for them so they have to go out at a high AU$18 each 🙁 but they are fun

drop me an e-mail and we’ll work out postage etc 😉
