For a mod im doing the crappy tuning coil is in the way…im gonna mount it on flying leads…it probably wont work but hey. I also thought about replacing the capacitor with a tantalum one, but the electro cap is quite compact considering it’s 100uF, so i’ll leave it.

Yea that makes more sense of it, man those Japs must’ve spent ages thinking of that. I think it will be a ‘add on’, wonder how much the sub will cost, must be alot I should think.

OK, since we’re all having a guess, here’s mine.

Thetorpedolauncher on the base is detachable. The gears on the launcher are part of the launching mechanism and are driven by a gear/gears on the back of the actual sub. How, I’m not sure. Maybe something like the steering on the Bit Char-Gs.

What looks like pink water with air bubbles inside the torpedoes is actually a rubber band of sorts. In order to fire the torpedoes you have to wind them up before you attach them to the launcher. This is why there are two propellers on the front of the torpedo. One is attached to the rubber band while the other is attached to the body of the torpedo. You can see that they are set up in opposite directions. This is because, whenlaunched, the propeller attached to the band will rotate in the opposite direction to the body of the torpedo. By reversing the blades on one of the propellers, they will both drive the torpedo in the same direction.

How does that sound ? :smiley4:

Agree on the Supra but disagree completely on the Trueno.

I bought the Initial D set to start my Bit Char-G experience as I had owned an AE86, or Sprinter as they are known in Australia, up until a couple of years ago when I, unfortunately, had to let it go. When i get the money and the opportunity, I’ll be geting myself another one to park next to the twin turbo Supra that is also on my list of things to get :smiley2:

The cells I made my pack out of are actually rc airplane cells, and theyre fine, theyre NIMH 1000, I got my mod motor today along with a steel pinion gear, I wanted to get the driveshafts and hubs but he had none:(

The Mod Motor is very punchy, I may get soft tires for the rear cos it just wheelspins.

anyway, shouldn’t we be staying on-topic? Lol I still havent found out whats up with my bit, but oh well, Ive ordered a bit char-A now, another clone, suppose ill never learn, im a bit of a cheap skate. Are the bit char-a’s any good? I suppose I can use parts from the lxx on it for spares and the motor will fit?

Yea its thenewest set released by TOMY. You know pretty much all their is to I think, that button is called the ‘turbo’ button, basically when its pressed the car goes full speed, useful when turning.

Best has got to be the Supra or the Celica, closely followed by the NSX-R and then the Impreza.

Worst bodies would have to be the bB Open Deck and the Trueno – don’t really like either of them.

Oh, and if we ‘were’ talking human, it’d have to be Holly Valance :smiley2:

Mikes Ultimate Light Mod (check out my site for more info, Mikes site is under re-construction at the moment, aiming to be back up at the end of the month – if not earlier) takes up pretty darn nearly all the room inside your Bit Char-G. You’d struggle to get the circuit board and battery packfor that and the circuit board and battery pack for the police mod (or any other mod)in one shell. You could probably do it if you could link both up to the one battery pack – but I’m not sure if that would work – I’m not hot on my volts and batteries knowledge!

Its nice geting your name/URL/picture/whatever in a magazine! My site and name will be featured in the December issue (out end Oct/early Nov) of ‘Boys Toys’ over here in the UK. Its great advertisement for the site but if I’m totally honest, I’m more excited about my name being printed in a national shelf magazine!
