will the results of his .5c cycling give “near enough” figures?:8ball:
so you’ve used the gmaxx cells then rohan???
sorry to get snarky but i’m a bit tired of people giving advice on something they’ve never seen or used. i’ve done it myself and i’m trying to mend my ways:8ball:

that’s still cheap. let us know how those gmax perform. when batteries are that cheap i’m kinda sceptical, that’s why i chose the gp’s.:8ball:
i’m just learning myself, i started out with nicad stick packs which were great to get me going. but i bought a gp 3300 nimh pack and the power increase is huge. properly cycled a nicad can probably kick hard too, but for bashing around like i do on an irregular basis i’m sold on nimh.:8ball:
i scored a great deal from virgin atlantic, he was heading to sydney to buy up some hpi stuff and asked if there was anything we wanted. at first i was like “what the hell do i need hpi stuff for?”, then a few days later i discovered the rally and ate my words!:8ball:

the 2 speed super perfection cars use the rx/tx6c chip. tomy booster cars also have 1 spare channel.
i’ve never done anything more exciting than hook lights up to the extra channels, i’m interested to see how this turns out:8ball:http://www.toyeast.com/index2.asp

did you notice the servo motor getting hot?:8ball:
have a guess:smiley2:
hint, it’s not austrian:8ball:

don’t forget me! hpi rs4 rally!:D:8ball:
i think you covered it man! i’m not 100% about the wheels but the tyres are compatible:8ball:
i can vouch for virgin atlantic ua, just be careful. he drives a hard bargain! you may end up with more than you expected!:smiley2::8ball:
here’s a reference pic of my one
the top chassis is the one modified to take the i waver pcb. as you can see there’s only 3 bits of plastic that need to be removed, fairly simple:8ball:
Quote:ph2t, is that gonnah be nelly powerd?does the pope sh** in his pants?:D:8ball:
looks like i’m in trouble!:shock::8ball:
no sweat, i’m sure there’ll be plenty more chances to see these beasties run!:8ball:
can we sneak some 1:28’s in that class?:8ball:
i think jamies was professionally attached with a zip tie!:p probably the best way to hold your motor in place i reckon.:8ball:
while i have the grip and handling to get around that track at full throttle, i get quicker times when i drive properly. you gotta setup every corner and see it through, hesitation is death!:8ball:
credit where credit’s due man. i’m sure 1:1 racers would agree with your race method!:8ball:
just remember, it aint the equipment you run with….:smiley2:
f’rinstance, leon.
he usually doesn’t have the fastest most tricked out rig (any scale). but i never see him visit the dirt, slide out on every corner or spend most of the day tinkering and swearing at broken parts! and in any given race i have with him he usually laps me once or twice! so if you wanna win races, get good!but we all have fun, everyone’s a winner for at least straight or 2!:D:8ball:
i remember what got this started.
few weeks back ph2t came over with his xmod. he assumed it will have a nelly in it so blowing the fets didn’t really matter and would even be fun! so he dropped one of his “p dash arms in an atomic can” motors in it and we set to work.
the fets got hot, very hot in fact! but they didn’t blow. why?
because there’s a great big bit of aluminium that sits under the pcb, inside the chassis and makes contact with the fet casings, ie a heatsink! i’m no expert but i’m guessing that i waver, mini z and xmod fets are pretty similar in performance. so you could theoretically add heatsinks to stock fets and enjoy more performance and even run a motor hotter than an x speedi cringe at the idea of keeping the batts, esc and motor sealed up with no airflow, no matter what the scale i always try to ventilate the body and i find the before and after comparisons to be quite favourable:8ball:

oooo, sounds cool. i’m in camberwell:8ball:
the xmod held it’s own. didn’t have the top speed of the iw02 but it took the corners well:8ball:
thanks for the info guys.:smiley2:
hopefully i’ll have one of these roofsliding around my house soon:p:D:8ball:
