hehe, i did!:smiley2: i’ll probably create some openings in the underbody and cover them with some fine mesh or even material like lycra. i don’t really want anything to go in the chassis but a trade off must be made. i’ll try to make a filter rather than mesh if you get my drift to at least reduce the size of the dust particles that inevitably get in:8ball:

yeah, my abs doesn’t seem to work well either.
it locks the wheels for about half a second then it just coasts. weird.
i tried abs with the 1:10, which has a forward/ reverse/ abs brake esc. hitting the brake just made it coast, totally no brake whatsoever. obviously the 2 braking systems cancel each other out or something.
the manual states that it’s all fully adjustable but i think it’s a load of hooey! i read somewhere that the manual is a word for word ripoff of the futaba 3pm manual anyway so i dunno what to believe!:8ball:

ah yes but dirt is a magical substance! nothing’s totally impermeable to dirt.

otp, what exactly do you mean attention? do you mean it stretches over time or the fact that they lock up when a rock gets in the belt? i’m currently using a kyosho pure ten alpha which is a belt drive 4wd. i made a cover for the belt but every now and then rocks creep in and make life exciting!:smiley2::8ball:

well that was a great day, bloody hot but! (35c) ph2t, leon and myself had the track to ourselves and got some fun racing in. the batteries were coming out of the cars too hot to hold due to the heat!
then we noticed a lone car come puttering up to the track and out pops microamps! no rc’s but we had plenty to spare and we needed a cameraman anyway:smiley2:
unfortunately we didn’t get the onboard cam working so no racecam action. but we did shoot some action which should turn up soon:8ball:

radio shack stores in the u.s. are the only retail outlet that sells xmods. they have an online store but they only ship to the u.s.
hpi are distributing them throughout japan i think.

so ebay is the first stop if you’re not in japan or merika. after that you could buy them from rcmart but they’re expensive even before shipping from there.
failing all that you could get friendly with a merikan and have him ship one over:8ball:

the h2 hummer is the ugliest girly car there is! it looks like the kinda ride barbie would take up bush! i love the h1 humvee, but i think even the “queer eye” team could’ve done a better makeover than the h2.

at least you got the black one!:smiley2::8ball:

i had to cut the fake vents out because they went too far in and would have hit the front suspension. they also allow air to flow through to the motor. form and function:8ball:

the stock steering motor is pretty weak so i used a bit motor (red zz 2.1) in it’s place and the steering is finally strong enough. i tell ya, so much fun for so little work!:8ball:

i had the stock tyres on but they were a bit too soft so i put the hard ones from the upgrade set on. i find harder tyres grip better on tarmac and last longer:8ball:
