ph2t. If you can you alter that curcuit slightly, so that the light run stops at the end, until a button is pressed, then you have yourself a set of racing Xmas tree starter lights. I see you have a 500k resister to control speed, yeah?

I started making one, and the curcuit diagram looks amost the same as yours above, but I fried something, and never went back to it. if you manage to make one, post the diagram here. I’m sure a few people would like to scale starters lights for their race tracks.

I’d asume it’s done using a dremel. You would need to check with the hole size on the removed BCG wheels before drilling.

Sounds like the hill on my track. With a fresh set of batteries in the controller a warmed up 1.0 motor can make it up, but after a few runs it’s best with a 2.2 and a booster. look forward to seeing your track in action.

Expanding foam would make a mountain of sorts, but you probably wouldn’t have much control over the shape. Have a look at the gotskills guys site to see about making mountains and rock formations that look realistic, and would be fairly light (but not as light as foam).

Have you got any shots of it yet? I’d love to see the work in progress. Sounds great.

I had planned to try and design a charger like this, only mine was not a variable time unit, so you have outdone me there.

I did however plan to have 4 car terminals on it, so I could sync charges for 4 cars before a race. This would give everyone equal footing, and roughly an equal run time, so no one dies after 2 laps, ending the race early.

ToyEast sell the charger terminals seperately, but setting up 2 screws per car to poke through the plastic jiffy case, set at the right height and distance apart would work just as well. Al lthat would be needed then is something to hold the car to those terminal points, like an elastic band, or butcherred bulldog clip, clothes peg, etc.

Only if you have the time, otherwise it’s not really worth the effort… they’ll probably only ignore any requests anyway, althouh you could block their web server IP I think??? not sure if that would work or not as it’d e the client PC that does the request.

I’ve found a site in Tas with the video on it too – Mine, and Pauls.
We’re seking legal advice, just for a laugh, off a lawyer mate. I wonder if they’re linking to here, or if they downloaded it, and have it on their site. Either way there’s no credit given to the creators or hosts.

Sounds good. So have you done one on a booster? Does it affect normal and boosted mode?

I found out, wasn’t sworn to secrecy, but won’t tell out of general principal.

Over 1000 hits on the video, and I’ve seen another site on the web that hosts it and gives no reference to the creator (me!).

    It’s just gone off!

Kick their arse for me. I’ve had someone ask me for permission to use that video to help him sell his merchandise, and I said NO. not unless I get a cut, or he wants to pay rental for it. Why should someone else make money out of something that took me hours to do, and I’m not making any money out of.

True (I was having a blonde moment), but I meant if there won’t be similar rear rims to match.

There’s one in here that deals with custom hand made shells, which include a ferarri that look fantastic.

there’s a better discussion of the new Tomy BCg cars on TinyRC I think. Can’t find it right now, but there’s been a few discussions in here, and there’s links from them.

WebShots is a good place to put pictures, then let people go there via a link, like in my signature. Unfortunately you can’t then link individual shots back into the forum.

But that will look stupid if you can’t change the rear rims similarly. Hopefully front and back are hot swappable.
