i’ll let you know when I have the guts to race it… :p Rumour does have it that yes, they are faster out of the box. Not fast enough, I guess. I’m not running it till the ball diff and bearings get in it… And now there’s two MR-02 owners in the Sydney rae dat faction, the other owner does not want race damage. I am 100% with him on that. Just looks too :smiley16: to run… I’ll bring it this weekend but it will NOT BE RUN. Damage must be avoided with this one at least…
so Bit, what sort of range of flavours we talking here? Would like to get a box of the usual too please…!
hmm, a second one, did I hear someone say? That’s using your noodle
mate it came modded… haha only just… gold wheel nuts. Carbon H plates went on last night, bearings and diff some time in the next week. Funny thing is batteries have not been near it yet… On the body again Talldude, it’s literally 1.5 inches shorter than your average Supra/GTR/RX7, even though the wheel base is the same. And yes, it’s a thing of rare beauty. Thanks to Bithed too for the fastest delivery ever!! Tim; check the sig. line below this…
some retail therapy for me too… Bithed; email/PM on the way mate… Can I have a shot of you in your g-string Jamie? lol NOT
see? Told you… hehehe. can we have pics too please? If you want to open up your Monsters back end that is…
I first found out about them around 2 odd months ago… at that time they were supposed to be released in two weeks time (from then), then it was mid June. The new Jaycar catalogue which has been out for ages (i’ve had mine at least 2 months now) lists them as coming soon. Guess the waitin game continues… and i’ll bet that when the 900s appear the difference between those and the 800s will be neglegable
I posted that a couple of months ago… Should be out very soon mate!
and now everyone’s got there shiny new toys, with the exception of one…! Shall email him later today with some info as well…
as long as you get the meshing right all should be cool
im back, im back. Got to work Monday, and there’s this box sitting here, see? Dunno what’s going on for a bit, as residue of illness is still floating around me… 10 minutes later and I figure it out… 350Z!!! Guess what, I found that gum over here, but only in the usual flavour. In Chatswood (or Chat-woo as my sis likes to call it; sorry in advance if that offends.) The option to get different flavours does interest me greatly though dood… z-beam; too much caffeine, but not a bad thing…
speak to the Bit… he knows all when comes to Monster… that does look like the setup of the stock racer diff (plastic), but i’m no doubt wrong. The man with the answers will no doubt sort this question out
dunno as yet mate… have to see on Sunday… but there will be an MR-02 next time we go… woot
my 350 just got here… had topost that, it just got into my hands but im not in the right forum… yet. Yeah Mock, that clip’s Stu’s. Hang on to it till I see you next, could you? Ta matey
that’s not very nice… you got some good lookin shells here, gotta say Kevsta… you coming down this weekend Mocky?
waaahhhhh-ahhhhh-haaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
NOW YOU’RE JUST TEASING ME MATE. This is not fair… i’m going to cry now, I think.
checked the link… nobblies look good mate, think I prefer the radials though, as indoors just is’nt possible any more
leonli17; gotta correct you there mate, the KT-5 came out with the later generation MR-01 as well, not just the MR-02. On what you said though, they (Kyosho) seemed to stop using the KT-2 for Zs to save on costs… by this I mean the 5 seems to be a cheaper finish, lacking some of the functions of its older brother (those reverse switches) Back when I got into these things I deemed that the majority of costs in the readyset box was (other than the electronics of the car) the controller. Noticed it did (and most cases still does) come with 1/10 scale readysets.
i’ve heard differnt opinions, but I feel the KT-2 has the better reception, but i’d like a better opinion after trying both types with a stock aerial. Will have to do it one day…
once you go above 9 tooth pinions you are needing to modify the mount abit to mesh the gears properly. I use HPI on my Zs, up to 13 tooth, plus they’re stainless steel so wont be wearing out like the plastic ones
thats pretty tacky… funky job on the tank, betty…
yeah c’mon mate, any pics? Nobblies (is that even a word?!) would be sweet, but the radials i’ve been waiting on. You used the spike type yet Bithed?
i’ve got no problem saying no before the question is even out of there mouths… but we should maybe move nearer the edge. Either way though, these cars seem to be magnets for brats. Pete; probably good that only Focker used the HPI, it centres the blame right at him. What was I thinking giving him a go? I’m a git.
Mocky; clean your insides off the wall, your wait is over!! Dont forget i’m very rarely online so contacting me sometimes can be annoying unless you have my number
