Damn, looks like Melbourne is the rc capital of Australia.

Wish we had the same up here in Sydney.

Yeah, I’m thinking the rc18t will be it – the reviews on it have been pretty good and the 1/18 scale is ideal to run at home in the backyard and outdoors. (I’ve been jumping my son’s toy rc buggy lately and it’s quite fun especially when you don’t care if it breaks.)

TD, I see your point about ordering back ordered stuff. Prefer them to have it in stock so that it can ship immediately. Might just have to wait till next year as well if no other alternatives.

just one more… can even tell it is (was?) a Falcon 500…

Very nice. Makes me want to put the dvd in and watch the movie again.

Now all you need to do is mount it on a chassis and test the super charger out.

    😀

what are you planing on getting kev?

Looking at the 4wd rc18t/mini-quake but probably the rc18t because of quality and availability of parts. Waiting on an email to see if they are available in Hong Kong, if not, then will probably get it from tower. With the AUD$ so high and the voucher offer ($15 USD off) ending at the end of this year it’s all very tempting.

    🙂

What kind of radio range are you boys getting?

Anything more than 10 feet? blackeye:

That wouldn’t be the reason why someone else on another forum is trying to offload theirs for $170 would it ?

What more could you ask for..?

Definitely THE best high speed/torque motor setup and doesn’t cost the earth either. 🙂

Thanks for sharing this valuable info !

Have you tried putting the x-speed pro arm in the setup ?

Yes surprisingly the cost of parts for 1:10 are about the same as mini-z parts with the exception of motors & batt packs. I won’t be doing any club racing at this stage, just casual friendly races around strategically placed witches hats.

MiniKing, when I get all my gear together, I’ll race you no worries.

    😀

I had sweet & sour pork with fried rice for lunch today and it’s not settling down too well – hate burping up that awful taste…:dead:

    Jamie,

I’m staying away from those thick shakes, in fact I can’t remember when I last had one of those.

What’s the deal with getting the pickles from the cheese burger and throwing them up on to the ceiling ?

dgs, chicken juices and chicken skin used to make the kfc gravy right ?

…yeah im pretty happy with the result kev, considering. i can’t say that it’s been smooth sailing tho. i had my fair share of the usuall iwaver problems including poor wiring and glicthy steering. but i seem to have it under control for the time being. so i’ved nelly’d the other iwaver (last 1’s for my son:) and 57ks is the most this motor will put out, even on nelly 1.3 im gonna give it the PD/BB case and see what i can get out of it! i’ll post my results later tonight…:)

It’ll be interesting to see what speeds could be had if you swapped the x-speed pro neo-magnets with pd magnets.

    :p

my tb02 hop up parts have been bought…

Now the long wait for the rest of the stuff…:)

I got a feeling the mini-quake might have more of a tendency to roll than the rc18t. But I agree it looks better…

How much extra does one need to pay for those custom Maccca burgers ?

My favourite is the hungry jacks whopper with cheese. Had one the other day, and it tasted good.

meh .. asif anyone uses comm drops. just oil up ur bushings/bearings and use a comm stick and maybe a motor spry every noe and then.. com drops just clog up ur comm

…after messing around with my iwaver, and finally perfecting the motor mount, i manage to achive a speed of 54ks, using stock iwaver 01, iwaver pro motor and 11 tooth pinion. happy with the results i thought i’d try my comm drops (as the motor case is similar to the atomic bb 1, there’s ez access to the comm) and low and behold an extra 3ks, pushing this car to 57ks STOCK!!! WAT!!… 😀

Roe, They’re good motors for the price. My batteries go close to melt down when running it with a 14t pinion.

57K’s you champion. Be interesting what you’d get with that nelly 1.3 of yours.
