Kero, 4 x AAs have the correct internal resistance to limit the charging current automatically. If you have the two cells in the car in series you can charge it with 4 x AAs (6v) connected straight to it. 90 seconds is a good charging time, 2 minutes maximum. At around 2 minutes you might notice the car’s cells starting to warm up a bit, if they get hot you have gone too far. A 4 x AA holder and a charging plate work very well as a dual cell charger.

BettyK, unfortunately the site hosting your pics has a reasonably low daily usage/access limit, thats why they cant be seen now.

Nicely done Ph2t. Can you confirm that they are actually running on different frequencies for 27A,B & C. Or does that only refer to the switch on the back with the ‘dummy’ third position? Eg, does this 40B car respond to a CCG 40Mhz controller at all.

I have seen a pic of this idea somewhere on the net before. It is probably the most practical way to mod a bit for rear suspension.
Make sure you post some pics when you are done.

every electronic component has a wisp of smoke inside it, its only when the component releases that little bit of smoke that it stops working.

We have had this before, I think it relates to the host server having problems (located somewhere in Europe, I think).
I guess we will just have to wait until it sorts itself out.

hehehe, sorry SMP, there was a thread on this not too long ago. If you do a search it should come up.
What came out of it was basically what Drsquidd answered above. I have successfully used the rolling paper method using “rollies”

Wow, Trash, we did learn something today didnt we..?
All that caffeine does make a difference.
I used to drink a litre of the stuff before exams to kick start the brain, I was busting for the loo by the end of each exam though.

That story of the guy sitting in front of the dish was probably an urban myth, come to think of it.
