I checked out a couple of those sites and was impressed. I would like to have some custom made decals to put on a couple of my cars.
Wow, this topic is huge!!! I would like to build some custom bodies myself, but I don’t really have the time. I really like some of the ideas that I am seeing. I checked out the ferrari and lamborghini bodies on e-bay and was totally blown away! I have never seen such meticulous detail on a non factory body.
Oh, but how long will the pcb be able to handle it?
I think that a dual spring setup can be as beneficial as the magnet mod, But both together really make the car extremely stable.
I wish. I have looked for them, but so far I’ve come up empty.
Very nice car.(cars) I want to get the trueno (not to mention the Gloria). I bet the ae86 gets really good traction.

that would be a really cool idea. I had a fullsize r/c car that had a driver and co-pilot.
I bet it would look better in a bit char-g.Welcome to the fold.

My tri cell truck has’nt fried the board yet. But I’m not holding my breath. I think that anytime you add more power to something that was designed for a certain amount of power, you shorten the life of it. Dual cell cars probably just take a little longer. I have’nt fried any of my dual cell cars yet, but I imagine that it is only a matter of time.
🙁

I’m still waiting for my springs to arrive. My only problem is that I don’t want it to lift the front end of the car, so I think that I will have to chop them down, but then the other problem is that it would pretty much be useless to use the springs.
I tried using my dremel on high for about a minute. I did’nt notice a difference in power, but I did notice the motor was a little quieter.
I’m not sure about the effects a low battery has on range. My car usually dies before I get to that point.
I have been playing with the gearing and It is not as fast as before, but it’s now strong enough
to pull one of my full size metal car models (I was bored)I had to put some weight on the front and the little thing actually pulled it!Edited by – zensx on 10 March 2003 13:19:05
I saw a post on another forum in which the guy made a notch in the cover post. If I’m careful and use my dremel, I might succeed.
Truth is, I’m not 100% sure. I was mainly focusing on the mechanical aspect first and then the electronics. I’m not sure if the RX would do it without extensive modification or not.
It would definitely be challenging. That is really cool. I like the more realistic proportions. Did they sell them in the States, or only overseas?
Transformers rule. I have been watching the Transformers Armada on Cartoon Network. It is pretty cool. I still like the first series the best.
It would be a crime not to.
Mod that puppy!
Believe it or not… I once used my wifes nail acrylic to make body mods. It is the stuff that women use to fill in their fake nails. It dries very quickly and is very stiff.

I have a hardwood floor that gets dusty from time to time. I have been able to hold a drift for almost a foot. I have been playing with different tire combinations and am getting better at it.
