I turned it Off Panda 🙂 I figure Banner ads are not impacting anyone and obviously (judging by those mega $$ we make) occasionally someone is clicking on them.

Don’t want to go all advertising driven like some of the other sites out there.

Dunno how well that goes 🙂 I think it’s just down to many kids these days (and their parents) lacking respect for other peoples property!

    So far I’m looking at:

Supernova Competition at about $259 AUD

It seems to do everythign I want and has a sexy LCD screen and is programmable etc. Price is pretty good, but it’s 12v only…

Yeah – I’m not to happy with some of those glitches turning up in the ‘finished’ product. Supposedly fixes will be out soon …. In the interim I can turn off the pretty editor and make some of the problems go away 🙁

I think you guys are over estimating my needs somewhat 😉 I have no asperations to race – and only need a versatile type unit 🙂

Then again if the only things that are available are the $$$ efforts then I’d better start saving 🙂

I’d just like to remind people that this is still the best way to ensure we stay up and running. Yes the Shop is helping too, but ALL money paid in through the Support System goes directly to this site and doesn’t support anythyign else!

I almost thought ‘Hybrid of MRS4 and MR02’ but the track is too narrow. I think it’s stock diff and the car itself is just a mule car for testign parts.

The preload is definately adjustable – although I just can’t see that weight and complexity being an advantage.

The PRO is not all bad, but quality is sure to be variable… The Sydney boys can attest to how well one can run (with 5×2 7389) and a 9 tooth.

I would think in a better tuned car/chassis the performance would be quite good. Certainly Plasma Dash comparable.

And I thought my regular 0.063 was good. The best I’ve seen is 0.047 tonight.

Worst I’ve hard is about 9 seconds loading my PM index!

Getting started in one of the Silver Can classes (540 etc) is a great intro to the sport. I recommend getting along to your local track and checking out what your locals are running, where they re buying from and more importantly what they think of things.

There is for example a few people in Canberra that feel that ESC (or any Speed Controller) that does reverse shoudln’t be allowed on the track. That’s becuase reversing is usually not permitted. Ofcourse Reverse makes the car usable off-track and there you have a quandry.

So check out the local rules and classes, and at the start try to work within those.
