I will add my 2 cents tomorrow . I was able to pick up two on ebay for under $48.00 each and they should arrive by tomorrow yeehah.
Nah… There’s the Speed Racer stuff to come (November?) The Toyota Voltz thing etc ….
There is new stuff coming but I think Tomy is gearing up for a bit range of pre-Xmas releases!
MYER in Geelong has them for $49.95 they had about 10 or so today the 23 of October. Its only a short drive from melborn but try myer in melbs and stuff i contacted JNH the aus distrbuter of compact char g and they are available at toys r us kmart target and myer.
I see your point, the Bit Char-G tank isn’t very powerful, especially when it gets lined up agained one of those M1A1. But remember that they are real tiny and for thier size they are powerful. Just like a ant, its very small and can hardly lift a thing but I heard it can lift stuff like 10x his weight, or something like that lol, bloody discovery channel.
The two types of tanks (Bit char G/Combat Digi Q) seem to be very very different, apart from them both being tiny tanks and having a two player game they really differ from each other. The Digi Q ones are…
*Realistic
*Infa-red
*2-4 players
*Working tracks
*different game modes
*Aimed at the ‘older fans’
Where as the Bit Char-G ones are…
*odd looking, if they didn’t have a dodgy turret they wouldn’t look a thing like a tank.
*Shoot BB pellets
*Have a ‘hit the target game’, like a coconut shy kind of
*Weird colours, which army has bright blue and silver tanks? LOL
-However-
A release date hasn’t yet been set for the BCGTanks as far as I know, so I guess we can’t really assume all these things are correct from these photos. I think the Digi-Q has definatly won this tank battle without the bit char G tank even been released, the Digi-Q one just sounds/looks/plays better. =)
To the original poster: you could always try building your own Mini R/C plane.. like I am.. have a look at this page:
Check this, i have a white wrx (57mhz) the cripple capacitor was not in it but i looked at some pictures at ausmicro and found that i have an extra capacitor between my L1 and R3 resistors. Anybody got a clue as to what this one is for, it was definately not added as an after thought.
Bentleigh Turbo Coupe
Hmm I think they will most likely make some different types of Micro RC stuff, they have quite a few different major cars, but I agree that the last peice of fresh news was ages ago, does anyone know when anything ‘new’ is going to come out? Like the BCG Tank for instance?
i’v changed my mind, im not gettin one yet, im gonna spend the money on my micro, im getting the hpi mod motor and ally front driveshafts on thursday. We have started racing micro’s at one of my local r/c clubs, I race 1/10 and mardave and micro now:D
So what is the consensue on the Honda NSX (white 27mhz)? I haven’t found one yet, but ther is one circuit on the back, that just doesn’t look like it should be there. The whole back is green and there is this little brown circle circuit there. is that it?
yeh, im goin to get a new tomy bit char -g, what a waste of money the lxx was tho, I suppose i can use the shell and the wheel’s n that off this one on teh tomy, and maybe the motor.

Lol! Yeah, but it’d be cool it they could hehe.
Literally 😉
Hi, I can’t find the thread saying what to replace anywhere!I have resoldered all of the components on the controller with no difference at all 🙁
My 3.0 powers a KIT racer at ultra fast speeds, but in my bit it turns the wheels fine until i put it on the ground, when it just can’t get the car to go at more than a crawl.

Who knows!? In fact, who knows if any of these will actually hit the shelf? These pictures and rumours have been going round for the best part of 6 months and we’ve still not seen them. I don’t think Tomy will bother, I personally don’t think that many people would be interested in movers and subs. The tanks are a different story. I’m sure they’ll release those as direct competiton against the CombatDigi-Q tanks.
Guess we’ll wait and see. The monster truck in the picture above I posted looks awesome though :smiley1:
Quote:Originally posted by Caine on 22October2002This isn’t too new, I didn’t know that the sub shoots missiles?!?! I dont think they do =(
I’d not heard anything abotu them shooting bbs, I doubt they do. It’d be cool if they did fire some sort of torpedo :smiley1:
and how much would we expect to pay?
yeah i have a 2.6 and 2 3.0’s, and i havent had any problems with any of them, thank god, but i have heard that the 3.0 motors are riddled with problems
hardly worth it, i would change it for a teledcopic antenae if i was going to ddo anything, it will greatly improve the range
Well try another car. If this doesnt help try replacing the components in the charging circuit.
There is a thread in technical that says what to replace, and schematics are available on the web.
I do hope you know what im talking about
yeah to back up what barrelll said earlier, bit charg oz has been extremely reliable for me in the past, they get cars for $65 and spec ed for $75, and accesories for about $15, they are very competitive
Dunno
All i know is my dad and I really really want the digi-q battle tanks. they are so awesome, so many functions
ok so what im getting from all this is that aaron and derek are going to be launching their own range of mini-z style cars or their own range of mini-z compatible accessories. Im not sure but i have a fair idea that this is at least on the right track. Just a few subtle hints that have popped up here adn there. Aaron is this in any way close to the truth??
the faster you charge the cell the less capacity it has
if you charge it fast you need to cycle it. The manufacturer recommends every time u charge it you should cycle it..bugger that, every 20 odd charges might be ok
