    I have an IWI02 with 2×6 IRF 7317 ans I run with the X-Speed pro with a 12t pignon 😉

I can tell you then the police isn””t happy(64km/h-40mph)!!!

And I haven””t got any problems

    I run with 2×2 2/3 AA and it””s okay.

But I think than the Palzamatomic is better because is has moretorque, so better on littletrack andthe X-Speed pro drawes to muchAMP for AAA batreries.

So, have lot”s of fun with your crazy cars 😉

Has anyone used Grand Cell batts in their mini z. If so are they any better than regular batts??? I Saw an ad on ebay for some Grand Cell batteries that were made in AUS (down unda). The ad claimed thatthese batts are a big hit inAUS (Ilive in USA,DC) and that they have longer run times than regular batts. Just curious if this is for real or just some BS. thanks……………………..jd in dc.

Excellent read ph2t….the need for speed drives some of us to very interesting discoveries. I also fiddled with a FA 130 motor that came with the TYCO CROSSFIRE, I should add also that the performance sphere I m talking about is in no way comparable to what you geeza’s get up to, however much was learnt. The ‘out of box’ car would wobble it’s way up to a pathetic 6km/h and was immediately junked but the two motors, pcb and shell were retained. After much work a more acceptable vehicle was produced (centrifigal clutch steering is one of it’s virtues) however the motor mods may interest some of you…with 2.4volts and 8to1 reduction it’s on road speed went up to 7.5km/h (were talkin’ crap car speed here) and run time of 40 minutes. The motor’s origin is unknown but probably one of Kowloons finest and would run at a steady 11500/12000 rpm but was unusual in that it is fitted with carbon brush gear and not the copper fingers. A new end casing was made up that allowed the brushes to be advanced from 0 to 30 degrees, also mounting the said brush gear on an adjustable slide enable’s one to raise or lower the contact point on the armature to ensure that they are truly at 180 degrees to each other and finally two eccentrics were squeezed in so that brush pressure could be varied.

This bumped motor speed up to 15000 in forward and 13500 in reverse, acceptable results

I guess with such a plain motor but the big jump came when the car was run on 3.6 volts with 3 AAA’s,motor speed increased to 21000 and on road speedwas lifted to 14.8 km/hwhich is about all an old guy like me can handle…the drawback with this pattern of motor is having one brush leading and one trailing as they both should be trailing.

I’m gonna buy a X Ray M18 but I’d like to boost ma Iwaver more and more and more 😀

    Actually, it isn’t a Iwaver02 anymore but it’s a TAGU 😉

The IWI PCB is really different of a Kyosho PCB because de FETS are really betters 😉

But, we don’t care about fets, mine are solids 😉 I just care about the reception…

I’m waiting for others answers …

MXM The reason why some electronic devices or cell phones have no antenna’s, is because they use (micro strip antenna’s) ecth on the PCB.THE antenna load is match to the circuits input and output stages of the amplifiers stage (impedances). Its called RF impedance matching. In RF circuit design. This is not a theory. ITs a fact.Look up impedance matching for RF CIRCUITS.And Micro strip PCB antenna’s.Or PCB’s ecth antenna’s.You could try what TRASH commented on. Using the magnetic wire and, form a loop coil to form a antenna but you still have to match the load with the impedances of the last stages of the amplifier to any antenna you use for this kind of load.If you don’t do any impedances matching of your load for your loop antenna and size of the wire and lenght in will not work. And the loop coil that TRASH commented on would be the easise way and cheapest. The guitar wire that PH2T used is just a wire the same as a dipole antenna with the, I guest the same lenght of wire he had in the car in the first place. he just changed the type of wire used. It did not change the load of the wire or the impedances of this wire thats why I assumed it worked in his car.MXM you can try no wire but the car might not work. Or you will get a short range it depends. GOOD LUCK.:smiley16:

i bought a half 8 from my lhs for AU$250. Quite reasonable i think. Definately needs more grunt. Will have to ‘invest’ in a brushless i think. Might nearly be quick enough then.

Hi Again: Thanks for this info. But can you elaborate more on this timing function. Is this the timing, for the pulses of the single data to control the car. like used in a 555 timer circuit. If not. Can you explain this so i could understand this function better on this chip.Better yet. Give me an :example! Also by using Ohms-law how do you determine the resistor for the OSC PINS. PLEASE EXPLAIN! PS I could not open or get these last three datasheets on these websites some chineese message tops up; Thank you once again.
