Why is it faster? Is it the gearing or the motor or both? Is the motor hot-swappable like the tomys? What is the stock motor on it? is it a 2.6?

can you swap bit motors and gears into the bullet? Is the bullet almost as fast as a digi q?
Oh yeah, my steering is already screwy because the return spring is “out of shape”. I’m looking for a replacement for that. In the meantime, I’ve ordered two bullets from toyeast. 🙂
Okay, I’ve spent some serious time searching and can’t find a number for these springs… I took them out of a spare Bachmann N-scale train car that I had. I’ve seen the springs packs at the hobby shop and the next time I’m there I will check and get a number for you guys.
Not sure I follow you… This is because I am not technically inclined. hehe.
So your new charger charges at 400ma now, versus the stock controllers at 300ma right? So does this make the charger more powerful or quicker? You mentioned the runtime was extended right? Are you using a stock battery? Couldyou replicate your results using the stock controller and charging twice i.e. 1.5 mins as well?
Sorry if you have answered any of my questions in the post above. I just may not have understood it well. 😉

I just jumped into this thread… sorry for the ignorance, ill check my cars, but what do i look for? I must have missed the post or thread with the cripple capacitor description.

so… for the price of 5 springs.. you can get a bullet.. hmm.. there’s got to be a “quick fix”
Just a note.. I have been keeping track of all these..and I have found a few dicrepencies..
according to this.. Some of the Blue WRX’s have the “Cripple Cap” and some don’t. Same goes for the SE Penzoil Zexel.
I’ve also come across some variations on the Frequencies. I know some places mislabled them.. like http://www.hlj.com I have found at least 1, maybe 2 cars that were decribed with diffrent frequecies that were on the box. Anyhow.. everybody please double check their data and if you have them.. let me know..
the Initial D set.. 35 or 45 mhz?
I pretty much take note as I see them (just started)
Here’s a short list of Cars that I yet to have data on as far as the “Cripple Cap”..anybody with these.. check if you have it or not and note the frequency.
Honda s2000 yellow (57mhz)
Toyota Celica black (??mhz)
Toyota Celicasilver (27mhz)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo yellow (27mhz)
Toyota DB Opendeck black (27mhz)
Nissan Gloria gun metal (45mhz)
Subaru Impreza WRX white (57mhz)
Anybody with these.. check your controlers for the caps and post your findings here.. I will continue to note the findings
Thanks
Yo,
Im on the US east coast if that helps any. Ill pop into radio shack tomorrow and check for 1/3AAA sized Nimh batteries. Radio shack never has much in-store, but they always have this huge catalog the size of your major metorpolitan city yellow pages where you can order in (this is important) single unit quantities! So no minimum order troubles there. Let you guys know tomorrow.
Peter, this question is for you, since youre the only one that has tested one. Naturally, inserting the battery for every run is inconvenient. But is it necessary to do that in order to use these larger capacity batteries? Have you or can you test it, using your bitcharg controller/charger and tell us how it fares? Or how many times / how longwe would have to charge it for?
Thanks. Really interested in this idea.

I’m in America and might be able to help you guys out!
Here are mine:
Blue Skyline GT-R 35MHz – No
Red RX-7 57MHz- No
This solution should remove your paint: spray the car with oven cleaner, put it in a Ziploc bag, and leave it there for a few hours. The paint should come off with a toothbrush. Yes. Really.
The actual spring itself.

I came across that video a long time ago from the http://www.yokomo.co.jp site. Its no longer there unfortunately. I did send it to my friend Mick (the other guy who wants to buy one). You can email him and ask if he can send it to ya. He runs the toy stompers collectibles site ( http://www.stomper4x4.com ). I think its about 600kb if im not mistaken. Its just a video of the car on a snaky desktop race course. It showcases the digital proportional speed control and steering.

I think the new controller just consolidates the 4 IR channels on to one controller, but you still need the IR booster to improve range.
I have a better solution to your steering problem. I have a program for Palm PDA’s if you would like to control your DigiQ’s via your palm. If you have the gameface plate, you can snap it on and control via joystick. It also allows you to tweak the curve on the digital proportional controls (i.e. throttle, steering, etc.)
Have I tried it? no. I dont have a PDA, and another downer… its in Japanese. But I just had to download it, when I came across it! So if youre japanese… hehe.

When you mean steering hairpin do you mean the rod that holds the magnet and spring or the spring itself?? Dave
Well i sanded my lancer down and i have pics on this site of it being sanded but it wasn’t that hard, it actually was pretty east. So just stop being lazy and sand it. Dave
Hey all, new to this bit char-g stuff. Great fun must I say. I recently bought a booster call same as the one above 35 Mhz and I too found out that the boost , seemed to be on all the time. I found out that when I run the car@ 35Mhz and (there is a switch in the back of the booster controller A,B,C) on the “B” postion it ran normally 2.2 motor. When I changed the switch to the “A” position , the car was running turbo all the time and I was able to match 3.0 engine speeds if not pass them too. I am wondering if I upgrade the motor I think 2.6 if it will dust the 3.0. Will have to try when I get it. So with this option I guess I have two options I guess.
Just to let all you guys know!!!!
heydo you have the link to the video? there was one review and it had masami driving. see below link. kinda weird that he is using a stick controller. not ht efirst time i have seen him use a stick for a car controller.

Oops. sorry, the pic in the middle (post above) was of the Choro-Q diorama carrying case. pictured below here is the correct pic of the DigiQ Garage Diorama base charging station.

ylezot. it has to be the wrx. i still gotta have turbo.
derek. sounds good. i gotta see what the sti version seats look like. thanks for you help. b
Peep my link below.
I have a few pics ofthe newLoctite DigiQ F-1 and the Penzoil F-1 digiQ, as well as the digiQ subs and tanks. also have picks of the epochs.
I just picked up my first 1/43 scale epoch loctite F-1. They kick butt. Really. They are really quick. They seem to be scaled down versions of the mini-z /mini-x racers. Got all the parts of a full size 1/10th scale RC. Kinda pricey though. Ipaid $95 for itin Japan. If youre lucky you can usually find a few on ebay, but mostly from HK or JP, so shipping can get costly. I dont think they have em anywhere here in the US.
By the way, I have pics of the new digiQ accesories, like the 4 new digiQ Diorama charger bases (garage, off road, street, etc), the roof top clip-ons (surfboard, mtn bike, ertc), and the new models like the subaru station wagon, and the fairlady z. illadd a few with this post.

deejay40
oooh. i guess i gotta get one of those when it comes out and also a z-racer at the same time. b
gotta try all cars to make a good opinion.
yeah right!, but this car are battery operated. Dont need charging system.
Off Cource Bit Char is very Cool and Better
It’s not i was just wondering
