Recently bought two new cars . One of them is very slow. Noticed rear end of motor has white insulation and not red like the others . Will have to strip motor to see what is wrong .
/me drools uncontrollably over hydraulic car
How did you make that!? I want one.

Your idea sound’s great, but there is some big problems. In the pic’s i’ve seen that you are using a car with an TX2-RX2 transmitter/receiver combination. The signal coding is quite simple, the number of transmitted pulses decode the required function in the car. You can find a PDF with the complete description at http://www.bit-racing.de/Tuning/TX-2RX-2.pdfFor the function RIGHT (the one with the longest code) you need 81 ms for the complete transmission. So a maximum of 12 Hz is possible. That is the reason for one of the problems you encountered. The other problem is that the transmission time depends upon the function. If you drive only forward, it will work. But if you drive around a race track, i am sure it won’t. Timing problems.
Try getting a car with the new TX6/RX6 transmitter/receiver combination. They use a different en-/decoding, with equal transmission time for all functions.

We (the member’s of a german forum) encountered the same problems. If you understand german or if you know someone who can translate it, this link might be useful.

KadettcabO.k. – it was a first attempt. I got some advice from german`s leading forum for model rockets. They considered it to be feasable.
And it is not at all dangerous. Neither does it explode not burn or melt. We had two starts and the bit ist still alive and operational.
It got two steering springs and I adjusted the rocket motor in a way I could use thrust to keep it on the ground. Original motor and gear have been taken out.For the next start it will be improved to get more stability into the car. Enhanced steering spring, adjustment of rocket motor, perhaps longer wheelbase…
See grasziege`s video of the whole event to find out how it was ignited and how it stopped:

Micro Maxx are the smallest rockets you can buy. As a Micro RC is very light, you can?t use bigger rocket motors. Result of two starts was no damage, no fire, no negative effect on mechanics or electronics in the car. It will start again on our next event. I?m just working on some improvement of the steering…I have to enhance the spring and reduce the steering angle.

If you want a tiny scale car, digital-proportional and not too expensive forget the Keyence. Take the Yokomo Puchi Maru for less than 70$ in consideration.

Can someone help me out. How do I charge this battary? Do I need to cut the charger thing from my remote and connect it to a 4 X AA charger.

also…have you ever visited tinyrc.com ? that place is a bit livelier then this forum so you might get more responses faster when you post there.
are u sure u can’t salvage it? if it’s just a steering wire you can solder it back on. theres a digrame of which wires go to which corresponding solder points on the technical feastures section. if all that happened was the steering wire i don’t think it’s dead yet. maybe u soldered the wires at the incorrect points. but if ur thinking of a booster then u can buy a 57 mhz fairladyz from toyeast.com(comes with it’s own controller) my booster is awesome, it has a range of over 20feet outdoors without any mods. it is also slightly faster then my other bits when you boost. then there is also the 27 mhz booster automodellista set, i don’t have that one though. and the last way to get a booster that i know of is to buy the 35mhz or 45 mhz booster set…but for those two you need to buy the four band cause they don’t come with a controller…so it might be a bit pricier then the other above options. the fairzlady is the cheapest way to go, and yes you can go mad on the booster sets and make duals out of them.
I would like too see some of these modded cars and to speak to someone about mine as it does not steer.

I think the PCB board would have to be replaced to pull it off properly, or the seats cut down so it was really just the back rest of the seat that gets glued on, so it doesn’t sit too high.
I’m thinking of getting a F1 matchbox size car and using that, as some of them have a driver with crash helmet in them, so it’s look like there was a driver, and in race cars they only have 1 seat anyway.
I assume the red and blue that are shown on the UK site, and on HJL. What colour was the VW shown as pre release?

Chibi??
Yeah. There’s another micro RC site that gives air time to just about any photo of a BCG with their web address in the photo. Most people just write the name www address on a bit of paper and put it next to the car. Then, when those photos float around the web between other RC people, the site gets advertised too. Smart really. That might be simpler for people to do than a decal mod at this stage, fir a 1st competition. Photos go into the Pic of the moment category? Just some ideas.
The more AusMicro.com name gets spread around, the better I say. Increases the chances of finding people to race, swapping ideas, getting help, etc.
