Thanks guys! I got the Readyset for $160 which I thought was a ripper of a price and just won another BTTF body for it 😀 , which will be kept on a display shelf (just knocked off the mirror last night :gatlin: ).

    Here are a few pics;

    280ms03.jpg

The trouble with the bodies are that they are so good, it’s hard not to wreck them or go full throttle. U need like those cheap poly-carb shells which, if they were made up, would cost ya like $5. 😛 only if ……..

But once my mate get’s his through the post, all I can say is havoc will happen!

So I guess 2 things that need to be done would be bearings and slip-diff??

Also tempted to get additional lightsets for it ….. too many ideas!!

    ph2t,
any chance you’ll post another schematic for the slightly less experience in circuit design? maybe for 1.3 or deluxe? Just curious, Thanks.

    Hey ph2t,
the nelly deluxe is by far superior. Do you know what the mystery chip is on the v2 board? I noticed the pic up top, looks like it got baked?
I haven’t bought a v2 yet, I was thinking about getting one for my new vehicle but I’ve grown quite found of my nelly.
I think the V2 uses Vishay/Siliconix chips, big but they’re supposed to be good chips, my guess is that the mystery chip is a mosfet driver…any guesses?

Keep up the good work man!

-ps how does the V2 get away with not desoldering the stock fets? Any plans for future nellys?

yeah i just checked their website, they have a lot but i dont have any clue which wire should be used. the wires that broke are the steering pot and the switch wires but i know where i can buy a whole new switch so my only problem is the steering pot. so what does awg mean when they say 20awg, and what does 200c mean, and what does silicon wire mean. yeah alot of questions. can someone direct me to a thin, strong, and a wire/s suggested that you would suggest.

thanks for your replies so far

Wow, excellent to see so much interest.

    Directions…
I’ll let you get your own way to Bendigo, then
Head out of town, east down McIvor Highway,
keep going till your in the 90km/h speed zone (only a couple of KM’s to go),
Lords Raceway then Catholic College will be on your right,
On your left, look for the blue neon cross on the roof,
Turn left into the BBC (through the gates).
There is heaps of carparking, go in the main door, the function room is the right.

If you are planning on coming, please message me with your name and frequency and I’ll enter your details into ‘laps free’ before we get there.

Just a note, that it is a ‘dry’ venue.

    Looking Forward to it, Pete

p.s. If you’ve got any spare bits for sale, bring them along… I’ll bring mine.

I can’t wait Paul. And I see he has done the pit lane too. Brilliant, simply brilliant.

Got to love your 350 as well.

PH2T:- I have run around it with 3Racing tyres and also Kyosho AWD standard fare. Although the track was pretty dusty that day, grip was still fairly good. Being dusty meant you could throw the car sideways around the corner at the end of the straight and just keep the power on.

So I got some stuff ordered yesterday,

3racing aluminum shocks and 30W oil
    Alloy motor sinks
Minizilla alloy wheels w/ tires (hope these work, I’ve heard that they will)
    mini-t center ball diff
topcad cvd’s (probably not the best but I was exceeding my current budget)
    xtra nut kit

Here are the rims and tires I grabbed:

    http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/product_info…oducts_id=14947
Can anyone verify if those will bolt to the mini-lst using the stock hexes ?

I also put together the 2s2p lipo pack for it last night using the Etec 700mAh 10C cells. The fit of the pack is absolutely perfect. I would say it is ideal for the size and shape of the battery tray on the mini-lst. I’ll have to take some shots of it so you guys can see. The performance from the Etecs puts the TL 1100mAh NIMH pack to shame. It’s so much more fun to drive, and still very controllable. I definately forsee a brushless setup for this truck at some point. First I will beef up the driveline and suspension a bit at a time.

ok i bought a used one over the weekend get dish wheels the stockers break and get one extra set um i would get front a arms and cf chassis and whatever breaks mostly but the rims are the most important order them immediatly !!!!!!!!!

I have been looking into wheel/tire options. I understand that these will fit,

    http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMX91&P=0

    and these tires, mmmmm…

    http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDU13&P=0

I have read though that I need a larger hex. Not sure yet which Hex and where to get it, or what else might be needed to run these. Extended axles ? Perhaps….

    Still trying to decide.

    On my list so far,

    3racing aluminum shocks
    HR upper lower a-arms
    aftermarket CVD’s
    Wheel/tire combo
    Alloy motor heatsinks
    7.4v li-poly

Yeah, I’d love to do an 11.1 li-po pack. I have a bunch of Etec 700mAh 10C cells. I have not been able to determine if the stock mini-lst electronics can handle 11.1v or not. The stock batt pack is a 9v. I was thinking of using 4 Etec cells and making a 1400mAh 2s2p pack.

i guess it depends what the prices are, i’m looking to build this baby from scratch. I get to know the car better and understand how it works. but at the same rate… all my upgrades/electronics and kit will cost me about 500 to 600… i’ll see.
