whenever i’m handling a group order i divide shipping according to weight as that’s how toyeast handle it:8ball:
hahahahaha!:D you idiot!:8ball:
iceman (and anyone else curious about costs), just join up at toyeast, costs nothing and won’t take long. then fill your cart, check shipping and go here: http://finance.yahoo.com/m3?u:8ball:
thanks pete!:smiley2::8ball:
if a sydney member can take mocky’s order that would be better as he’s looking at another $10 for me to ship to him. someone putting their hand up?:8ball:
ok gang, i’m full up, i’m gonna get mocky’s, leon’s and merc’s orders.
and tim, yeah rear damper and shock really help keep the rear down:8ball:yeah chino, it’s a clone called an i waver. toyeast sell them and ship worldwide.

as for performance and upgrades, they’re compatible with all mr01 parts. this is the official i waver site:
and the external turbo is a whoa nelly turbo from ph2t:8ball:
both sounds cool, but if it’s only one day, then let’s make it sunday, say 1pm. just a suggestion, if this doesn’t work out for anyone we can change it:8ball:
hey chino, thanks man!:smiley2: i’ve seen your work and it’s very impressive! i like the way your brain works:8ball:
ok, drop it in a mr01. now THAT would be interesting and not so easy!:D:8ball:
well so far i’ve got merc blue locked in. i’m sure someone from sydney will come through for you mocky, it really is better if i take another melbourne order. so i can cover one more order for an iwaver and some extras, i got a limit to my cash unfortunately.:8ball:
fer christ’s sake!! someone get this guy an i waver!! stat!!:D:8ball:
i aint challenged by someone that can use a screwdriver.
BUT, that is a purty chunka eye candy. those tyres, while stupid for practical use, are very cool:p:8ball:
good idea azza! i’m thinking of buying a couple for the purpose of selling to melbourne peeps. makes sense for 1 person from each state to put their hand up and take orders, maybe 2 for sydney! so MELBOURNE people, pm me with a modest order, i can only cover a couple really. if you get the cash to me before i order (wednesday at this point) i can obviously get more.
OR, i’ll take orders from a couple of interstate members who want them handed to micro amps or ph2t for modding. but it’s smarter if i buy for locals as shipping would be about $5 – 10 from me, and we can just meet up. if no locals put their hands up i’m happy to buy for interstaters.:8ball:i’m into it, if i can get there for both:8ball:

and here’s the website http://users.bigpond.net.au/putnam/
looks like the weekend of the 19th and 20th sits right between some club meets, so i’d say either or both days looks good:8ball:
as silly as that hummer body looks up there, i like it!:8ball:
hey gang, remember this? …… stiiiiiiiill waiting!!!!!!:D:8ball:
i’ve built a whole new car around the iw electronics, so don’t look too closely at the details. a stock ol is slower than a stock z (or iw) as they have lower gearing. but high speed is a disadvantage offroad in my opinion. just remember a $150 ol will be really happy with a further $100 of upgrades. and parts will break/wear.
so to keep within your limit of $200, buy a car that’s about $100 – 150 and keep the rest handy for the inevitable. and my iw needed 12 batteries before i got to see it go, they aint cheap. and they run out quick. if you want something that’s brilliant outta the box be prepared to spend that $200 more than once!:8ball:tru = toys r us (i’m just guessing here):8ball:
nahh, the templestowe track is great, free and other rc enthusiasts go there. i get to see stuff going that i might not even see in a shop. i get to ask nerdy questions and therefore learn far more than i would from us little circle of nerds. i talk to these guys daily, but a templestowe i meet people i might never have met at a netball court. and the concrete out back of my place is big enough for a homemade track so if i was constructing a track i wouldn’t be lugging it any further than outside.:8ball:
bugger paying for a track i have to build!! at tftr we got a nice track, power points and it’s free FREE FREEEEEEE!:8ball:
i’d say get an iwaver and a set of wide wheels. then get one of these

and make one of these

not even $100aud. then hang on to the other $100 and buy upgrades like bearings and shocks. but don’t spend it all at once, you won’t really know what to replace til it busts. and things will bust even with a kyosho so expect to do a secondary order:8ball:
some more progress. i lost one of the tail lights and wasn’t able to make a convincing match so i made some outta tackle box plastic. and i screwed them on so hopefully they stay like this. i got the decals on and i had to have a sneak peak of what it will look like on a chassis. more to come…..:8ball:

we aint doing a regular weekly thing like you guys (we should) but when we do it’s at a proper 1:10 racetrack. lotsa fun and we’re still yet to have a proper race where the cars stay charged or intact, but we’re getting there:8ball:
