well i can add my 2c now, just got a 27 mhz A.
first i gotta say i received my toyeast order in 6 days via surface mail in perfect condition! the extra shipping is well worth it.:)
first impressions i found a lotta flaws,poor quality paint job, a steering coil not glued in, wonky rear wheels, steering arm pops off the knuckles. but these are probs i can fix. having said that i would still buy another one, love the tyre set and the batt, the controller feels good, and the chassis is clear! (wooo!). they’re cheap enough to just buy for parts!
i did some testing with my 27 mhz controllers. i used;

enertec micro charger
2 clones
dragon micro x tech tank
clone 35mhz

the only tx that got a response from the car was the enertec 2 speed and all it did was twitch a bit. the 27 A tx got no response from any of my cars.
overall i’m very happy with this little package, despite it’s flaws. and i’d buy them again:8ball:

nahh, the alloy is from the inside of an old disk drive. i got a box fulla electronic bits and peices. that’s where i get most of my tiny screws from, although i’ve run out of screws for rear shocks, anyone know a good place to shop for tiny screws? jaycar?:8ball:

i just broke one myself. i used super glue to stick a couple of bits of paper clip wire to the underside. have a look;

unwinding a few cm of the wire won’t affect steering. it’s only if you unwind lots like half of it that you mess it up. just remember to scrape a little of the enamel off the end you’re soldering:8ball:

generally i’ve found that ‘L’ on the pcb means the right hand coil and ‘R’ goes to the left coil:8ball:

a couple of things i should mention about suspension in use.

1/4 of your suspension travel should be taken up as ‘sag’ sag is the amount a shock compresses when the vehicles full weight is applied. eg; when you get on your mountain bike with suspension, 1/4 of available travel should be used up.

‘bottoming out’ is when your spring is compressed as much as it can be. this should happen regularly but not often. if your suspension never bottoms out, then back off the preload.:8ball:
