I’m not good in i-Waver PCB, but I know the Kyosho PCB can be support 7.2v (6 x 1.2v). If the i-Waverwas copied Kyosho PCB idea, they may be same. But the Kyosho is recommand to do this, because it is very to burn the PCB.

If you really looking for the speed, how about 1:18, it has more space for you.

If you own an EX-10, I will recommand the Mini-Z AD for your, it is a lot better than normal Mini-Z.

    http://www.kopropo.co.jp/html/forMinitz3.html

    http://www.kopropo.co.jp/html/forMinitz4.html

It has two reason to get the AD:

1 now, all the ready set are made in China, QC is not good.

2 AD is the latest version for Mini-Z from Japan KO-Pro, you can use this PCB for MR-01, MR-02 and MR-015. (for EX-10 HRS)

But beware, when you order it, you have tell them it is for EX-10, because it has EX-1 Mars-R version.

You can order it on-line http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=144_21_150&products_id=12700

Remark: itjust the Module and Mini-ZR/C unit only, you have to buy the parts and build it yourself.

    Enjoy!

I think your batteries are gone. I had three sets of Mitsubishi 700 and two sets of Sanyo 800 in same case as yours. And they are band new too. Now, I am using Atomic 800 and they are very good. You can get it form RC-Mart.

hey ken, do you know of any racing clubs in brisbane that race mini-z?

I saw one web-page form Brisbane Mini-Z race, but it is gone.
    http://members.optushome.com.au/mini-z/index.htm

How about make a new topic to connect the Mini-Z players in Brisbane or Queensland.
And try to contect with the 1:10 race club in Brisbane. This is the 1:10 race club I find it in “Racing Line” http://www.qmdra.org.au. There may have some people own their Mini-Z and also looking for place to play. Good Luck and never give-up!

I was searched form 1:10 race club, hobby shop (sale Mini-Z) and “Racing Line” to find the Mini-Z club. It was took 2 months.
    😀

I think first of all is how many people will going to race?

For example, 7 people with 6 classes of car, what can we do? Like the 1:10, sometime we can see the F1, Mini and 540 Pro race togother.

So, I think most important is get more people to start racing with their Mini-Z (include i-waver) and then setup the rules.:D

It is what I am doing.:) And I am happy to hear you guys interest about the Mini-Z racing and rules.

And I think one day it has Mini-Z Cup race in Australia!:D

    I have try i-waver X-Speed and X-Speed Pro before.
I test both for 2 mins on my MR-02 stock and modify.
The i-waver X-Speed is very very very slow and very hot on the PCB.
The i-waver X-Speed Pro is not design for stock car, although you put it on power-up modify car, it still slower than Kyosho X-Speed with stock car. Also very hot on the PCB.

The summary is they are very very poor!

How about follow the PN Mini-Z World Cup and Kyosho Mini-Z Cup racing rules or some 1:10 club racing rules. It can be make it easy.

For us, we have stock class and modify class for Mini-Z racer MR-02 (RM and MM).
All class have to use 4 AAA batteries. Any upgrade and gear ratio is allowed.
Stock class: no power-up modify and unlimit motor. (like the stock in 1:10, 27t only, any band is fine)
Modify class: unlimit modify. (do anything they want)

So our racers can easy to follow and more fun.
    😀

But must important thing is how many people in the race. Only one or two people in a class is not a good idea.:smiley2:

By the way, power-up modify is very easy to see from the speed. And sometime the fastest car may not have the fastest result.

We are using racing carpet from Hong Kong in our indoor track, it is very good; but I think Kyosho Mini-Z GrandPrix Circuit is much easy to keep, manage and longer life (can be wash). After that carpet get old, I may change to the Kyosho.:D

    Where are you TallduDe?

If you are in Melbourne, you are welcome to race with us.
If you are in Sydeny, I know there have some race meeting for you.

By the way, the track for Kyosho Cup is “Mini-Z GrandPrix Circuit 50 (4m x 6m 84000yen) or 30 (2.4m x 3.6m 47250yen)”. It is not too much for a club.

    addition information: Mini-Z MR-02 ready set 17800yen

Can I put just the Xspeed motor into a stock Overland so it will go faster? Do I need to upgrade anything else for it to work? Do overlands break easily? Thanks.

You can put Kyosho X-Speed, PN S05 and Atomic Stock Motor into your overlander without any power-up modify. But don’t put any i-waver motor, they can be bure your PCB.:D

If you like to upgrade your X-Speed, you can modify it with ball bearing motor case.

I am using alloy knuckles for my Mini-Zs (MR-015,02,F1 and overlander). Most of them are good. And recommond Kyosho ally knuckle, I have try Kyosho and GPM in 0 degree and 1 degree for Racer and F1, althought they are same degree, the result can be difference.:D

    empirebayjmt..

Do you have any R/C Car before?
If don’t, go to ToyEast to buy an Iwaver 01 without any optional upgrade parts.

It can be the best way for you to find out yourself like to play R/C car or not. 🙂

ok, how to put this without sounding like a newb… i’d like to know if anyone else has had this issue… upon installing afew aluminium parts the other week (damper stays, knuckles, wheels) discovered that i can NOT get the meshing right in any pinion/spacer setup. Everything was running sweet before putting everything in, and had only pulled the motor out to replace with an Xspeed. Have checked the diff shaft (not bent), bearings (cleaned em just in case one or two had seized up), meshing in the gearbox is fine. It has has been pulled apart, cleaned and rebuilt. Now ,(finally, you all say!!!) has anyone else had this issue (not you, TD…), and further, how did you go about fixing it? Any help will be greatly appreciated… I really do want to get this thing running again, but it’s been in the “too hard” basket for a while now…

Kyosho Ally parts or GPM Ally parts?
Kyosho must fit, if no, read the manual. (good QC)
GPM sometime may be fit, if no, change it. (no QC)
    Good Luck in GPM:question:

Can someone please tell me the difference between the KY30261HM, the KY30266SP, and the KY30265R? They’re the only mini-z overlands hobbyco sells and the KY30261HM costs about $200 more than the other two.

If you can order them from Japan, they are same price. But 30261HM is discontinued model, it is not more in Japan. And the 30261HM is 2.5 years old model, it was cost a lot if the hobby shop bought it from Australia Kyosho supplier.
