Ice Man – what are you reading ? Some romance novel or something ? :D:D:D
Was the steering always like that, or only after a hard impact with something ?

Quote:you know the track is in the pipeline… about a week away now. Being this is funded entirely by me I may have to come up with a way of recouping costs. $5 per Sunday guys? j/k (or IS IT?!?)Can’t wait to see it in action. If we don’t have to pause for track maintenance each time someone’s car deforms the track it will be worth it.
$5 is fine with me. What about everyone else ?

Quote:me thinks mr.reznor of NIN did the tunes for quake 1&2. definatly 1.and was working on 3 but some silly stuff happened and maynard and the boys from tool took over at the last minute.
Merc, if it is a cdrom it should play the soundtrack straight off the disk give it a go in a normal cd player…
The Quake series of games were my favourite. One of the most addictive online multiplayer games in its time. I had a 3dfx monster graphics card that made the first series look amazing on the pc back then.
Come to think of it, if I ever get retrenched from my current work place, I’d open up one of those internet cafe joints and just play games all day.

Quote:..i`ve gotta start thinking about making my Z modern day quick. i`m going to have figure out a motor/fet/turbo combo to stay in da race:evil:Yeah, I was surprised that my non-fet/turbo x-speed/bb can combo was just as fast as your external turbo+x-speed setup.
Also, I don’t know why lots of ppl roll Zs – I’ve only rolled my skyline shell once and that was after hitting a decent sized pebble which made it unsettled.
Quote:Just brought 8 x Powertech AAA 900mAh batteries from Jay Car for $25.20Can’t wait to try them out this sunday……:)
Thats a good price, normally you have to buy 10 or more to get them at $3.15 each.
It’ll be good to see if they really do offer more punch or longer running times…
I’ll be there around 11am. It’s a long weekend this week, so got some time.

Oh, those games bring back some old memories – remember when they used to only cost 20 cents to play, now they’re like $2 a turn.
Sega Rally Championship is my favourite, had that one on PC at some stage but wasn’t fun driving a car with a keyboard, pc steering wheels weren’t around in those days.
Remember Pole Position and Test Drive !? I think that was on the Commodore 64 or was it the Amiga 500. Ah well spent countless hours playing those ones.
Need4Speed Underground is my current favourite, I can’t believe that I got beaten by a 6 year old kid in the drag racing part of the game.
There should be an option to attach a real monster tacho and shift light to that game.

*LOL* it doesn’t work. Looks like premature end of video file.
Shame though, I would have liked to see a video of it.

Quote:wow…LOL looks like the file attachment is too big. Same thing happened to me when I tried to upload the movie I took of the miniking”s rx8 and tall dudes]air plane… I broke a front knuckle on Sunday just realised it after doing some maintenance so I put the stock kyosho knuckles on, and end up stripping an alloy wheel nut.

Quote:Thought as much
the only ferrari’s that could do it for me is a the Fseries F40 F50 F60 and the enzo of course! If your bettle’s for sale i will buy it? and if not could i please have the use of it as i dont yet have a running shell and again it would probally support the setup i have on the chassis already Y/N
Can’t part with the beetle – wife likes it and it’s hers. 🙂
I only have the red F355 shell which I am happy to pass in your direction for *FREE* so you can get started/up and running :p – body in excellent condition, you’ve seen photos of it in the old thread. Something you could use for the time being until that expensive auto scale comes along. :):smiley2:
Maybe someone else can help you out with the part that positions the high motor mount to the low and some standard wheels.
Let me know if still interested and I will bring it next time not sure this week, but definitely the following week.
The ferrari is a sick body dude click below to jolt your memory: http://www.ausmicro.com/galleries/miniz/sydney25-4-04/imagepages/image13.html

Quote:I was feeling ok after a big night on the piss or so i thought cant wait and then it hit mePoor head+poor gut =peteWah watching the first ever chinese F1
You dont want to part $$$$ with a particular autoscale body do you…:D ie Vette CR5
Im guessing NO WAYSorry Pete, collecting the corvette for display. 🙂
I do however have a slightly used red i-waver ferrari 355 shell if you’re interested – the one I brought to meadowbank a couple of times that has the rear part of the shell modified for the rear damper but you need to run low motor mount + zero offset fronts wheels with it.
🙂
Quote:It could also have to do with the file name
579BE8AD579BD575.asf dose not match the file name 26_sept.asf at the link atb of the page…
(simplify dude)
otherwise i dont know Y, whats a asf file
(assfucker)Where were you pete on Sunday ? Saw your chassis… looks pretty good.
Quote:TD; can you email that file, I cant get the f**ker to work…:angry:Didn’t work for me either, get about 5 secs of play only and it dies.
That must be the race of me winning as you can only see my skyline shoot past at the end.:D
Had a fun day yesterday, Focca thanks for bringing out the hoses, track was really fun. Next time I’m going to bring a fold up chair so I don’t have to stand all day.
You can tell us in the “Special” subscribers forum LOL. :D:D:D
Quote:Does anyone have any experience with any of the motors available on:Cheers,
Jon 🙂I have the minizworkshop 35t, but haven’t tried it yet so can’t really help in answering your question – but bought it because it received a good review from others.
At the moment I’m having too much fun with the xtraspeed xs18-1. I’ve also got a couple for 3racing bb speed motors coming next week and plan to order the i-waver x-speed pro some time soon.
If you’ve got the cash, its best to give a few motors a try to see which one suits your driving style, any z enthusiast will have a few hot motors in their spare parts box.
😀

Quote:the Palsma Dash motor seems quite cheap – any reason to get this over one of the minizworkshop.com motors ?I think the woahnelly external turbo will be the way to go 🙂
Cheers,
JonCorrect me if I’m wrong, but I was under the impression that a stock plasma dash needed quite a few mods to get it to run better such as neo magnets, carbon brushes, bearings ? Or does it come stock fully loaded with these ?
Quote:Kev you wanna race you leh! your on bro its a shame about the shipment, i should have a certain surprise for the day lets just say nelly is bak and meaner then ever.ill be at daves at around 11- 1130 to check out the carpet! should be a good day!
Yeah, they took 7 days just to process my order, and it only got shipped this Tuesday. They may have run out of stock, because it’s not available on the catalog anymore.
I’m also heading to Daves at 11 am as well.
See ya.
I’ll be there around 11am on Sunday.
I’ve got to test my x-speed in a bb can against Talldudes motor because the ones I ordered ain’t going to be here till next week
