Hi,
I’d like a wide set in medium hardness when they become available.
:p
I think all roll shocks come with that washer that is placed under the aerial and on the other side. The 3racing gear is very ‘similar’ to the rc racing model parts.
BTW – it’s does not conduct. I checked it with my dmm for resistance and didn’t get a reading.
Quote:i’ll be coming down afta the hsc in my spare time 😀 but i don’t see much point as i’ll be trailin all you guys! You have an MR02 buddy – just put in an x-speed motor and it’ll all come down to driving skills plus car handling.
:smiley16:
I’m still trying to work out what are the advantages of having it in a can. I mean you can get grated cheese, cubes/blocks and slices already so why bother.
TD.. Yeah those motors arrived ages ago but I haven’t run them yet..but soon.
Still playing with the x-speed which seems to have more than enough power for the track size but will need to gear down to an 8 tooth for quicker take offs.
Miniking, getting rid of the x-speed already ?
Nice list MiniKing. You got a winning motor there on your hands.
Once you put the parts on, then comes the fun part of ongoing tweaking them to make sure your car handles spot on. I’ve been trying to do it for several months and still haven’t got the setup that I’d be happy with.
BTW. Bring more batteries on Sunday if running that new motor of yours, or be prepared to be the track marshall.
🙂Quote:Finally got my hop ups for my Z i cant wait to fit them and see how they go at meadowbank…after a 1 month wait Dinball have sent my order…it was suppose to be express shipping obviously NOT…any way i got my hop ups and thats all that matters…Dinball sell really good and cheap hop ups just dont make any mistakes in your orders when dealing with them cause they take forever to let you know..!
ps.Cant wait to see how my new 2fast 2furious skyline shell will look racing next Sunday…:DWhat did you get ?
Yes it was fun, but track was pretty hard and no one likes to slow down. So there were lots of track barrier jumps, rolls, crashes and sliding scratched shells. 🙂
I drove like an L plater.

I guess looking on the bright side, atleast they didn’t release the hand brake and let it roll down the hill. I knew a guy that had a convertible golf and thats what the thieves did – ended up side swiping a few cars and smashing into a parked car before coming to a halt.
Didn’t realise those soft tops cost $7000 man that’s pricey.
Hope you were insured.
Quote:i’ll no doubt go with Kyosho product, but would’nt mind getting some feedback from someone who’s used bothThe kyosho disc damper is now available. Go on TD you know you want it.

Will the wide set have the front wheels offsetted by the usual 2.5mm ?
Looking good now. Hope it stays this way.:)
Hope it doesn’t rain on Sunday…
I’m not clicking on that link because I am at work… never know what will end up popping up. Could get into trouble.
Ask Jay dude, he’s reviving ’em all.
Guess it doesn’t help by replying to them…
One way to bump up post counts… oh yeah.
Hmm, read somewhere where it’s suppose to properly dampen the springs rebound properly not like roll shocks where you’re relying on the grease on the pins to do the dampening for you.
I notice that when these first came out, they were quite pricey, but now they’re getting more affordable. When you add up roll shock set + rear damper spring, for one of these disc dampers, I think you’d be paying the same amount of money dude.

Jay-z, you need to download quick time movie player. Windows Media Player won’t recognise it.
Good video Roe, turned out really well. :smiley16:
I must be doing something right, and old fart like me winning a race muhahahaha…

…what ever you do, don`t meet up with any of these people! i feel so cheap now and can`t sit down, lol :smiley2:
I think Timmy has been scared off man…
Quote:i’ve been experimenting with lubes for my ball diff and shocks. i found grease and oil to be a problem as it’s a dust and hair magnet. a couple of runs and the shocks look like my legs after a camping trip.:dead: and the diff leaks a little onto the spur gear and turns it to crap. so i decided to try out some chain lube for my bike. the stuff i have is called krytech by finish line, but there are others like this such as white lightning. the big deal with this stuff is it’s a parafin type wax suspended in a fluid. squirt it on and the fluid evaporates to leave a waxy coating. this stuff not only won’t attract dust and hair, but it actually sheds dust. and it won’t set hard causing parts to seize. i’ve gone a few runs now since applying the stuff and all parts are squeeky clean and running smooth. this stuff only costs about $10 – 15 for a 120ml bottle which will last you ages, you only need a couple of drops. i’m yet to use it on the front end as i like some friction to add damping:8ball:Might have to get some of this stuff. If it means that I don’t have to take apart the diff after every time I go for a run – it’ll be worth it. Does this stuff spin off the spur gear ?
Thanks for sharing.
Quote:Quote:i like the x-speed. but i’m getting a ball bearing motor and turbo from 3racing. any one know what they’re like..i`ve got a non bb cased Xspeed running with an eagle single turbo and it goes ok, kevsta`s running a bb cased Xspeed with no turbo or fet`s & when we had a drag there wasn`t much in it.. maybe if we were running higher pinion gears the turbo would have come good? after seeing kevsta`s car go i`m doing what i can to get a hold of a bb case, though some don`t have as much faith as i do in the bb cans!
All I can say is bb cans are so much better, I don’t think I can run with anything less now that I have one. Just hearing the high pitched whine from the motor is music to the ears mate.
LOL Reviving old posts again…
You can never have too many batteries buddy.
It’s simply not fun running out of batts while everyone else is still racing.
If you need to offload some, I’m sure some the guys would be more than happy to buy some off you.

Quote:Quote:you know the track is in the pipeline… about a week away now. Being this is funded entirely by me I may have to come up with a way of recouping costs. $5 per Sunday guys? j/k (or IS IT?!?)..wasn`t sure what was happening with that, focca & i have been working out some idea`s and the mojority seems happy with the hose system!! ..easy to set up & no worries carrying it around and cheap as.
Does Focca have access to more industrial hose ? A bigger and more complexed track would be nice.

🙂I think focca’s car needs its handling sorted. I could’ve sworn that his car rolled the most last Sunday, every time I looked at it, he was either running over the top of hoses or rolling or in an accident of some sort and I don’t think it’s the high center of gravity of the z8 shell, because by comparison it’s as high as the skyline shell.
