Quote:…Dont wanna be THIRTY yet!!
Happy Birthday!!
Funny that… Me Too… TOMORROW!!
OTOH… I do find a 1:1 Mitsubishi key to be real useful, if you ever need something (anything?) stuck into the ignition of a 70s Holden – the ones with the chrome ‘ears’. Torana, Kingswood… it all seems to work. 😯
ok ok, some owners have upgraded their security since!! :smiley2:
Quote:Panda are u implying something by saying ‘mitsubishi key’
e.g. mitsubishi lancer hence our old mate evo? There was an earlier thread, James old boy, some time back now.
Our good friend Aaron (alter-ego or not) is also a part-time sleuth,
and he’s had some interesting results from checking the old ISP-logs.
There are some very curious coincidences. :blush:The RC Beyblades don’t have a motor to spin it, you still have to use the yank-thingy I think.
The RC bit just changes the weights inside, so you can (sort of) control the spinning top.
Hey hey, WELCOME!!
We’ve been waiting for you…!! :smiley2:
Quote:except when the site gets hacked
arrrr that person was a barstedHopefully today we’ve got something more secure.
It shouldn’t be as easily picked with a Mitsubishi key. blackeye:Hey hey… here’s a *constructive* idea… 😀
Instead of full sets, how about just supplying a new car chassis already modded… let the owner BYO the TX and shell.
Can somebody (Shypo?) source you some chassis?
Is that a hint to “beware of Kitty” ?? 😯
he’s got ONE more… the Ausmicro master key…! 🙂
Quote:any idea when these are gona be releasd to us Panda?Dunno, didn’t really care to ask.
Friend brought some back from Japan week before, but I wasn’t even interested enough to take a look.He visited Disney Sea though!! :smiley2:
You need some kind of feedback mechanism.
Check out an RC servo…If you’re spraying for long time from a can, it helps to sit the can into a bowl of warmwater.
Careful about attaching airbrushes to commercial aircompressors. Watch the pressure and above all things, get an inline oil trap.
Tower in the ‘States can usually post stuff out to you Overnight, especially stuff on that Parts Express list.
Non-US residents are a little less lucky. 🙁
NRS4 3 is a shaftdrive car, so it’ll shrug off sticks and stones. If you want to run on rougher ground, try the Nitro MT instead.
Its a velodrome, so I’d guess they’ll know how long each lap is… I think its about 250m, and a 12 second lap is considered ‘good’.
Or if the magazine guys are present then they’re likely to bring a radar gun too, or else some of the other folk have a tennisball radar as well.
Quote:Panda if you READ my first post you might notice I mentioned that the Tx charger will be modified.Ya, I saw that; I was more wondering “how”…
Are you putting extra cells in the TX? ‘Cos 2 AAs won’t charge dual bits very well even when you hook them direct to the chargepod.
Also opens question of overcharging risk if there’s no timer anymore. You don’t want too many product complaints due to user abuse. :dead:
Small things to think about before production… :shy:
Yes we bought some Kyosho semi-wide slicks, and the father-in-law fitted them to his standard wheels. Looks better than the original skinny tyres too, not that much spillover.
Balldiffs usually have a “thrust bearing” where the adjusting screw rides on; instead of an axle in a hole that a ballbearing works for, the thrust bearing is like the lazy susan at the dining table.
Thrust bearings can be plain flat bushings or tiny balls in a cage sandwiched between 2 flat washers.
Not sure what you call ‘cheap’, generally the real Tomicas in Asia are about A$30-40 each (depending on “tourist tax”:)) after exchange. The clones, well I didn’t even bother asking on them. Tomica hopup packs start from about $8.
If you’re really serious about carting a whole swag back, just ditch the boxes. You can carry about 4x as much if you build & ditch the boxes.
Well, if you’ve got nothing better to do with your A$500 then… why not?? 👿
And the way the AUD is going… its getting better by the day.
Conversely, there’s probably a bit of hype premium involved too. Sure its cute to have all the rare BCGs, but gotta think what are you gonna be doing with them in 5/10/20 yrs time? There’s no track record to say that prices will stay so high for these items.
Err… don’t you have to mod the charging facility too?
Ya, Japan & HongKong mail is pretty efficient stuff.
Especially love how the Japs package their stuff, they really take care.Quote:u think thats bad panda, i had to wait 4 months for a parcel from america, and the worst bit, i payed for expressHaha, me too. I had a pkg that was posted from US in early November… come 3 mths I was asking questions. Had proof of posting etc etc and the eBay seller was a reputable guy, and he was asking his p/o too.
Then mid March, it arrived! Looking a little bashed and had a bright red sticker “Contents May Be Water Damaged”… we suspect it had travelled by sea even though the $65 in stamps (it was a BIG box!)covered for airmail. blackeye:
This is before all this terrorist rubbish too.

Not at all Daran, it didn’t even cross my mind.
Still got other stuff “outstanding” in the mail… including one eBay transaction from last NOVEMBER…:angry: that one’s gonna get a rocket up the u-know-where pretty darned soon!
Hmm… so *Aaron* has an evil twin named *Admin*, eh? :blush:blackeye:
oooh, I nearly forgot (t’was the thought of those Sailor suits!!)
Thank You !!
:D:):DHey… WOW!!
I thought I was to be expecting a sheet of ‘custom’ sponsor decals, not a genuine Tomy promo item!! Holy macaroni, fantastic stuff!! 😯
Its one of THESE, fellas:

Plus *other* mindbogglingly amazing facts:
1) mailed Fri 21/2 (?), got here Mon 24/2 🙂
2) Bithed teaches at a Jap Girls’ School (oooh, those sailor suits…!)
