welcome priest! those extra details are real nice are they custom or did you find them in other model kits? nice job man!
i got some of the “chameleon” paint that does the colour shift, but it needs thinning out as my emma found it for $10 as a bottle of nail polish.
whatever you do dave dont put green over purple. i dont think i mentioned this but because green contains blue and yellow and purple contains red and blue you will end up with a blue tinged brown… sick poo colour!
cheers bithed, i got some of the metalic purple allready, tamiya still supply it over here easily. what i wanted was a DEEP metalic purple, and i got the deep blue wich is almost perfect.
custom h-plates are a must also dave! how mush will it cost me to get some fabricated…
the light kit got sorted out last night and looks awesome. also primed it and gave it a couple of coats of blue only to find some serious
little defects where i joined the two halves.
the blue colour i used is almost black
:Dwhich is is very nice… i give it untill monday before completion!aud vs. usd is at 77 cents! hopefully it’ll break the magic 80 cent mark in time for the order to go through…
the 12th of december:smiley2:
i thought your miata was going to be silver Aaron to match the 1:1 mx-5… and about the longer plate, its a c-f kyosho out to its maximum length. does anyone make longer ones?
i bought some deep metalic blue today, i just cant wait to get spraying on this one. tamiya dont make a deep metalic purple unfortunatly so at a later date a transparent red might be applied to get the desired purple colour.
that is of course after a few tests to insure the layering works out well…
orange… i couldnt do that to this one (but i got a 1966 mustang that would look great in orange today). i got to many green vehicles at the moment…
heres a few ideas i liked…

pity the kit came with the black stripes only:sad:

will the atomic tuned melt my stock z?
thanx for all that info man, it brought me up to speed on the motor options for the z…
i’ll be down melbourne way for sunday the 12th…
i need some suggestions on colour…deep metalic purple has been the tastiest so far, but im still open to other ideas…
can you spot the dice?:smiley2:
that rear end shot is awesome betty! nice work…
i’ll be down melbourne way for a week (stating on the 6th dec), maybe i’ll get a chance to see this new racing machine…
im not to sure about a 4wd mustang!?:smiley2:
bithed, your the man!
some details on the properties of the above four would be great, as in what abilities they have (your observations not the advertising blurb)?
is $23 USD price for the motor assembled?
i wouldnt know what to do with those parts!nice, are they specially made for xmods?
im after a slower motor with a little more power than a stock-z motor… any ideas guys… its for my new camaro project.
one of those bb’d and carbon brushed torque tuned motors sound like some good produce, what’re they worth from you bithed.
it said the “sprint dash” comes with carbon brushes…
did you get one in australia betty?

its lookin nice!
isnt that our prime minister?
who saw my camaro on dgs’s phone?
2 different single player modes… sounds fun. dgs73’s flatmate got a copy, but for me the only game i have had time for has been GTA:san andreas.
go and have a game panda! stay up real late in a comfy chair and forget about those 101 things.
me thinks its the new zip zap monster dave…
cool talldude, hope the pics turn out well. make sure you give me full credits!!!:smiley2:
i chopped the camaro last nite, took out half an inch from the middle to get it to fit. puttied up the gap and resculpted the details i destroyed in the process. only thing i need now are some REALLY wide wheels to match the width of the body.
im hoping to come by your place dave sometime this week and give you a preveiw of the job, and pick up the diff and arial.
if this works out well i’ll be able to modify nearly any 1/24th kit to fit a z.:approve:
sounds good man!
nice job bithead! i really like the effect of the clear blue layers over the silver, im going to have a go at that technique when i get home.
good to see some more modified z’s on the site!
personally i get more satisfaction from doing body mods (cosmetic) and im just getting started on one myself…
i have austar digital… but i am in sydney and my tv/satelite hook up is in byron bay:sad:
i needs to see the vid also. sounds good.
yo talldude, could you take a few pics of the gto i did for you? im sure the other members would like a look!
and as for brewing up some new stuff i picked up a 1970(and a half?) z28 camaro today, inspired by your mx efforts Aaron i’m going to give a custom z body a go.
thanx for the fun fellas! it was real cool meeting you all in such a nice location (for racing!).
ive been kicking myself over fiddling with my rex for too long and not racing enough tyho, i left with a fully charged set of batts! damn you dgs and MK for the nice new parts i just had to install there and then. with the o-plate and the rear shock the rex is like a new car. smoooove.
im in the process of stripping the rx-7 MK, thanx a heap for the sweet deal! my my girlfreind is going to have a some fun now….. only thing i need now is another ball diff (:smiley2:). the blue just wasnt happening for me tho, and how long ago did you paint it dude? cos the paint is still sticky like it never dried properly… oh well. pity about the nice stickers tho they all came off.
hope you liked the gto talldude!
and sorry dgs and pete and the crew for the abrupt departure, emma was having a spaz and was coming past the house from the wrong directionblackeye:
“theres no f#@king price street i can turn left into!!!!” i had to walk a block or two while she coooled down over the phone to find her.that 60+ effort of kevstas was awesome to see, tyre flew off and all!
hoped you liked the delivery roe!
