the autobots had a stereo character as well, but the deceps were always a bit cooler.

the contach i did is a copy of an original generation 1 sideswipe.

and as for the idea, use away! so long as you give us a look at the finished product!

the decals i used are from transformers armada toys. each one came with a sticker of the box art.

cheers guys! i wish i got a pic of it before i painted it… it was uuuuugly.

the supra rims eh? i’ll have to find some pics of em to have a look.

merc, the motor clip being snaped was the last thing the original owner could take. after snapping and gluing the h-plate, motor mount and the conector between.
all i had to do to get it running was use a rubber band so the motor and spur gears could mesh! he thought the motor was buggered!
after a few goes on the cement drive way the glued parts gave out after hitting a few pebbles, so thats why i got the bodgy plastic home made bits…

but for free, it couldn’t be sweeter!

all ive got for it so far is a set of 750mah nimhs (kodak) and a set of soft tyres.

smp, i just got given a red 318.1 (1998) from my mum. cant wait to get the beast up here

    nice score!! that’ll be a E36, a much better body than E30.
Very solid car without much unusual problems and a basic 318i will
have less electronics than bigger cars to bugger up with old age.

Eurovox headunit isn’t too bad, just needs decent speakers. 😀

new stereo eh? i could definatly agree to that! thanx for the heads up panda!

btw, you had a go with your f40 sbcg yet?:)

i got hooked on the tin cars over in bali before i found ausmicro and bcg’s. there size was a bit prohibitive to build tracks for so thats why i went with the bcg’s in a big way…

but the amount of fun my gf and i had with those 15,000 rupiah cars was huge they had a heap of frequencies but only r34skyline shells. the lid to the container they come with makes a good puck, and with four cans of cocconut milk as goal posts some good fun can be had… even better with four ppl.

as for mods on these suckers any motor from dick smith that fits is worth the lucky dip factor, and finding new pinion gears in those cheap 4wd race cars (along with new motors) can give some nice performance.

and someone mentioned needing good tyres? go grab a set of mini-z super softs. that made a huge difference in performance.

i’ve seen the chevy in baby blue once and was hugely temted… i shoulda got it, oh well.

i got a tiled floor and unless its just been cleaned my z looses it with not much throttle.

i got better results with my one and only upgrade, soft tires on the rear. especially when you give the tires a clean in warm water.

xmods are 4wd arnt they? thats why it handles better on slippery surfaces.

throwaway indeed, the sunroof and window winders are busted as well as the front dashboard neeing some serious replacements. i dont think i’ll go the way of getting bmw replacements tho, i”l try to find some other bits that’ll fit. and cover the dash in a james squires beer mat!

theres gears in that there steerin’ set up! but it aint propo!???

if you could limit the power getting into the steering motor (slowing down the steering arc) then maybe some sort of simulated propo could be acheived…
