    http://www.geelongorthotics.com.au/news.htm

cf sheet in different thicknesses is used a fair bit in orthotic manufacture. i used to work as a secretary for my mum who was a podiatrist and used to think the cf sheet could come in handy. we stopped making orthotics from scratch when a company in melbourne started to produce them in bulk custom orders. we only did minor alterations and repairs after then so the mats for manufacture just didnt get ordered. cf sheet became available after we stopped production so i dont know much about it.

these guys are in geelong, but almost any podiatrist would have the same catalogue with the cf sheet available for order. its for medical purposes so it might be a little pricey, but youll probably be getting some very nice matirials though.

heh thanks ph2t. could you and betty remember how his modded blue ford xmod was set up? the one with the i waver shell on it i got clobbered by when i raced you guys in melbourne?

the i-waver el light kit tubing is a 2 pin plug, the xmod system uses a 4 pin so the lights wont work running from the plugs. ill have to attach it from the motor leads so will the terminals be to “hot” for the lights ph2t?

the underground carpark of this motel in noosa was a very nice place to let the xmod rip it up a bit. powerslides where happening once i had enough speed up but the grunt just aint there (wish i had the kyosho awd with me for a side my side test).

emma (the GF) reakons i was drifting, but i know it wasnt sustained enough to qualify… just some meagre but alltogether awesome powersliding.

so the xmod evo is heavier, i guess some lightening is in order then werever its not going to play havok on the solidness of it. thanks for that. it sure has a lot more complex engineering and about 2x the parts of a kyosho awd.

i wonder if anyones worked out the reason for the turning imbalance, apart from its awd system of course… is it still possible to get a bit of drifto with it wunning just rwd?

dang, thats just brutal right there. ill stick with it the way it is for now. pretty bad glitch in the system though i woulda thought bugs like that would be ironed out early in the design.

no camber gear yet, ah well. might have to look at the custom options i could work out then.

great, i got a garish light tube in purple just waiting for a use. ph2t, with the nelly install will the lights get boosted also? i hope they dont blow heh.

    thanks for the reply yank!

that is so awesome betty, youve made a miracle! if only that beast was available for purchase… id probably get 4 of them heh…

i shelled out for a pair of x-trek pros, and allthough they are propo steering and speed they twitch like a strung out junky at anything over 1 meter from the TX. sad really, kinda put the nail in the 1/64th coffin for me…

also panda, the pics are slow due to your memory card. there is a noticable difference between sony sticks andthe sandisk ones. my neighbor shelled out for a sony high speed one, and yeah there is aa fair difference in pic load times. but i still cant fathom why all sony sticks arnt high speed… bastards!

    I don’t have a PSP so I haven’t tried it, but there’s a 2.71 downgrader here.

noooooooooooooo dont touch downgraders. there really is no point apart from wanting to pirate games. all great homebrew works fine on 2.0-2.71. that and downgraders can destroy the psp if done wrong. and there are many ways for it to be done wrong…

theres even a “hello world” for 2.8 proving that eloader can continue through all the updates sony want to throw at us.

and besides, the psp was built to play great games, and even 100,000 emulated classics dont come anywhere near the awesomness of multiplayer gta deathmatch.

yup, ph2t! i upgraded to 2.6 the other night when a demo version of tekken:dark reserection turned up at the p.o for me from sony. great fun!

then, i hooked my psp up to the pc and copied my GAME file contaiing all homebrew and deleted my older version of eloader.

downloaded eloaders newest version (.99 iirc) and then stuck the game file back in the right spot and woot, back in action.

good thing is, a lot of the newer brew works better on 2.6 than on 2.0 heh. then again, some of the older brew like my mega drive emo wasnt compatible.

but still, the 2.6 firmware let me bust out some cash on some new releases and i bought field commander and metal gear acid 2.

also, an emulator for the capcom play system 1 has been released and it works great. i have original arcade perfect final fight, punisher, forgotten worlds and street fighter 2 champion edition on my psp. much fun passing around sf2 trying to beat it with a bunch of freinds, its tougher than i remembered…

as for movies, i got enspired by a looong trip to buy sin city and i was impressed. with nice headphones (no! not the buds ouch!) and a flip top cover than acts like a stand so you dont have to hold it for ages it was awesome.

i must say though it was in the dark. the size of the screen doesnt really matter when theres nothing else in your field of vision… i actually prefered the umd crispness over watching sin city on my 108 cm rear projection.

thats a nasty way to go, poor fella. the sting’s venom apart from being painfull goes after the heart, if steve did cop a strike in the tikker he didnt have a chance.

a champion of the environment falls, and a part of me wishes it had been some uber salt water croc he died fighting rather than some sting ray.

how many beautiful rays will get unnessisarily attacked now because of this im not sure, but i know with the amount of press this story is getting i doubt anyone is going to be as kind and respectfull of rays anymore.
