Guys, half the packing materials turned up today, shoudl have the rest for the weekend. So they’ll be a Monday send. dgs you’ll get a parcel sent to you on Monday 😉

The clips are the same design as the one on my Porsche that you saw dgs, that trick with the braid works great for some pinions while for other motor/pinions nothing is needed. The clip itself can be ‘tweaked’ a bit to make things work flexibly.

    Banking details are at http://www.ausmicro.com/banking.asp

Just PM or e-mail when you make a transaction with a list of demands 😉 Use your username for the transaction ID.

Well I’ve put my desire to order an ivory backscratcher on hold and started the long and tedious process of changing our hosting arrangements.

It will be some weeks (or longer) before we can even consider making the move so all I ask is for patience as we build up to the point.

It’s the server, I’ve just commenced the process of upgrading things. It’s expensive and could be a few weeks before the site ‘moves’ but things should get better after that!

As we’re packing here it means we handle every part and can check it’s quality BEFORE you even see it.

It also means if you want an 8 bearing set we can do it for a small extra cost!

*laughs* I have partially marked out the positions for the side mounts and I’m probably going to just a velcro underbonnet mount.

The front bar needs to be glued onto the car, but I’m doing zero assembly of the bodywork until after I have mounts in. Side mounts from an iWaver shell will need to be spaced ‘in’ from the sides as it’s a bit wider – honestly it _may_ suit a MR02 better but I don’t have one.
I was intending on used epoxy filler (ie Bog) to build up the the side mounts then attach them to the shell…

Yes they’re listerine thingos, I really don’t have much modding gear around here at the moment as we’re moving house again at the end of October and never really got settled here.

Colour will be Silver to match the 1:1 although I will run a 1998 front bar on it and not the 2002 front bar. (2002 kits are hard to get, I have two, but one is probably sold …)

I shoudl note too that while Bithed and ausmicro.com do sell stuff we talk a lot about what we’re selling and stuff so we don’t step on each other.

ausmicro.com will soon be carrying a wider range of iWaver gear, (as a direct reseller from the factory as I can’t afford the Australian distributership) and we’re just starting to negotiate with the makers of “RC Racing Model” about their product range which is good quality but not the schmickest parts, then there’s the bearing makers we’re going to be dealing with directly etc….

In other words ausmicro.com is trying to cater for the start-up and enthusiast who likes to have fun while Bithed is there for the hardcore racer and collector with the latest parts, hottest things out of Japan and ofcourse Genuine Kyosho Quality.

Keep in mind that I haven’t talked to Bithed for a few days and we may ‘rejig’ the balance but the concepts are there….

Jamie, it’s being built from an Aoshima kit, has complete interior, choice of hardtop, soft-top and open. Dunno what I’m going to do fo rthe cockpit yet.

z-beam, I think she was a little skeptical until she saw how well the chassis fits wrt wheelbase and track.

    *nods* that’s what I mean merc-blue! They’re both in need of hop-ups….

FWIW the new generation ov iWavers 01 series will be released very soon – it’s very very similar to a MR1.5

iWaver 02 is currently in production and will be released to wholesalers in a few short weeks. Supply will be very limited.

I would contest that merc-blue, and not becuase I sell them.

They are basically as good as a Mini-Z… both use the same hopups and both make you want to part with more cash 😉

However I gotta say of all the peopel that have picked up iWavers from me it’s only the really really hardcore people (like soem of the forum members) that have found them lacking.

Also – iWaver is launcing revised models of the 01 series which is a closer to Kysho standard, plus their new series will be closer again.

Talldude! Just remember you’re already a Subscriber – more is appreciated (and will make you a ‘Donor’) but you’ve done your bit for the year!

In theory yes about 100 subscribers would be nice, but I think the forthcoming project (which is covered in the Supporters Only Forum) will go a long way to helping as well.

That’s really the difference between MR01 and MR02 chassisisn’t it? Width of the chassis due to battery mounting? (and the Brake thing)

FWIW I’m trying to get us onto the development program for the new version of our Forum code, this means the modifications I’ve written would be built into distribution but also that we’d be able to switch over sooner than the rest-of-the-world.

It offers a Profile enrty for MSN details just liek ICQ is handled now. Lots of things work better too!

To be honest I don’t know about the F1’s…. I’ll check, have got about 4 sets left at the moment. Lining up new supplier so next batch may be a couple extra weeks while I negotiate…

Should have new stock of nuts in about a week (left HK about 5 hours ago)

Guys – to be honest I don’t know yet if I’m keen to do a group buy again so soon. Got a few reasons but mainly it comes down to $$$.

While all costs are covered it takes a chunk of time and makes me think that perhaps I should be running an online store 😉

Sorry Kevsta – somethin in the attachment was breaking the forum. I’ve tweaked the code a bit in case it was a filename thing – but I suspect it was more like a filesize thing 🙁

I use epoxy resin to reinforce the side mounts. Seems to be pretty durable 😉

ausmicro.com has a great range of alloy wheel nuts coming in soon! Test sets have all sold

OK – anyone know the bearing sizes for Overland/Monster?

I believe they use the same 7 bearings as ‘regular’ MR01 MR02 and then two extras?
