hey, pull my finger:8ball:
it’s not as necessary with nimh but it’s good to do it regularly. how you treat your batteries will determine how long they last and the amount of current they deliver. with nicad it’s recommended that you discharge the cells before each charge:8ball:
it’s always a battle between looks and function when lowering the front. you may have to make 2 front tabs, 1 for driving and 1 for show. but it’s coming together nicely so far:8ball:
i’ll try the cap and diode but deep down i suspect i’ve killed this esc. not really sure why, the motor isn’t too “hot” and i’m only running 6 cells. i’ve checked and rebuilt the drivetrain, no drama’s there.
one incident that may be the cause was when i got a rock stuck in the belt (4wd) and i kept hitting throttle even though it had no effect. i assumed the thermal cut out would save the components but now i’m thinking i should be more careful in future. am i on the right track?:8ball:
well looks like i’m out of a job!:D:8ball:
leon has one so no probs getting them in the country.:8ball:
yes, you will still have brake:8ball:
hang on, this aint my work, it’s toyo’s. i’m just posting the pics up for all to see.
it’s an enertec chassis, just read all of toyo’s posts for the full run down of this amazing car:8ball:
don’t worry, i’m sure trash has 4 of these already and is compiling a review as we speak!:D:8ball:
i’ve always had excellent customer service from toyeast. and steve is a reliable guy, if he says there’s a controller coming then watch your letterbox! just bear in mind that they are an international company, but it’s helpful to write in nice clear english.:8ball:
why the hell do rc designers put the batteries (real heavy) down one side and the other stuff (not so heavy) down the other? maybe i’m missing something here but it just aint logical. my guess is that these cars corner better one way than the other as a result. wassup wi’ dat?
:8ball:wow! these are some very well engineered cars, it looks to me that these have been built to corner like no other. (wow, who’da thunk it, people like turning!)
does the 1:7 come with a bike seat and footpegs?:p:8ball:you’ll have to get these through a hobby supplier, electronic shops don’t seem to carry them.
you’re in for an expensive ride!:shock::8ball:“new butterscotch crunchy nut cornflakes, they’ll knock your socks off!”:8ball:
yes, you get what you pay for.
yes i’d say it’s the servo pot.
welcome to the crew!:smiley2::8ball:Quote:lol i dont have a dremel.. can’t find enough uses for it to wanna buy one..i think once you get one you’ll find plenty of excuses to use it!:D:8ball:
yeah!:dead::8ball:
the zz monster will take all zz bodies. that should give you an idea of the size:8ball:
i’d love some fancy tools! anything would be better than my smokey drill:D
anyways, on with the toyo slide show!:8ball:
no sweat man:smiley2: when posting pics in a post, type
, but don’t use spaces or capitals like i just did. you can get the url of a pic by right clicking on it and selecting properties. til then here’s another!:8ball:

you must buy a regulated power supply. i got one from jaycar for $60 that puts out 4a. i think it’s meant to be used for laptops or something like that.:8ball:
you were gone?:clown::8ball:
and i got some for all the ausmicro irregulars:smiley2::8ball:
:shock::dead::p:8ball:interesting, i had no torque issues with the stock servo motor, but still worth doing i think.:8ball:
