you’re both sort of right… ph2t; your chassis made it 6 all up for me. Pete has been Z-less for too long, so I thought i’d help him out. Plus i’ve alrady got one fast car, so… and Pete; if I needed the cash would I have let you pay me off over 6 weeks? Did’nt think so… just funding other projects dood

..how good was sunday!! that`s about the easiest track we`ve ever knocked up & about the most fun i`ve had down there! driving around the courts is cool but having a track makes it rad! be cool if we could make a standard track for meadowbank, love to be able to time laps & see who got around the fastest:smiley16:

you know it’s almost done… why make it sound like it’s not going to happen?

told you it’d eat ya $$… try running 5 of em…blackeye: Now that you have an O plate (who’s the guilty party? I’ll find you…:smiley2:), you dont need the roll shocks. Just get a friction shock.

true, true… the size is due to the frankly massive screen (by hand-held standards), which would of course be effecting battery life and size of the unit. I’ve got more info on this thing at home if anyone is interested. PDA could be incorporated into it, but we’ll see

spammer!!! (double post…) Bugger looks. Thats your downfall. Dont let looks get in the way of performance. If it works, who cares what it looks like? My gtr is proof of that.

mrbishi; best to ignore that last post of mine… bottom line, P.D.s are needing abit of work, ie. wires, capacitors and bearings. The stock brushes are ok, but tend to get replaced. Neos are good for adding aceleration, but lose top end speed. Hope this helps.

only bearings are really necessary, from what I can tell with mine. New brushes maybe, and I will never again put neos near them. Too much top end loss. so, Mrbishi; to answer your question, yes they are alot cheaper than ‘ready to run’ hotter motors (PN, Atomic, etc.), but You need to add capacitors and wires to the mix. Anything else is up to the owner. Mine has only got bearings and HPI brushes. Have neos in one P.D., will not do it again. Total cost was minimal, especially when you consider I pay someone to rebuild these motors as well. Kev; you know it does’nt. Mocky; it does not NEED neos. Put em in if you want more torque. I prefer top end, hence my opinion of putting neos in. Think about this; neo-ed P.D. top speed of about 40 odd clicks. No neo P.D. is (at the moment) getting me just shy of 60 clicks. What do you think Mocky? Plus neo P.D. will not last as long… mine died after 5 or so runs. Before y’all doubt me, i’ve been running these motors for a while now, and will use no other. And I could quote Kev, saying my gtr w/ Jamie’s donk & 11t pinion is way faster than nelly w/ b.b.ed case and 14t pinion… but that’d just be showing off. Would’nt it Kev:question::smiley2::D

i gotta get a nelly if I can get 60kph outta my old 12 stack of 7389s… motors play as big difference too… try a Plasma Dash…:smiley2: but only after an upgrade to your electronics

i’ve discovered that a full alloy steering setup is just as bad. i’d go for the mro2 purely for the servo saver:8ball:

I feel if he needs that much alloy he’s in the wrong scale of r/c cars… these just wont stand up to what they’re doing

mate i’ve been caning the 02 chassis on it… no room for even an X speed, so the other car’s out. Have finally sourced some decent surface carpet for a good price… very good actually. 3×6 metres. (roll is only 3m wide, shame…) Stuff is happening guys…

on/off switch. To answer your question, tyes, you are forgetting. Either way, alot of people have told you both what jumping them will do, and ok you’ve been lucky and not buggered much. YET.
