oxhadokenxo, if you are ok with electronics and soldering, an LM317 charger is your best bet, but it has no timer, so you will have to remember to take it off after 8-10 minutes. But a simple timer circuit could be made quite easily.
Charging a normal cell 4 times still won’t fully charge it, and it wastes your AA batteries quicksmart. The stock tomy battery is made by SANYO, it is very robust, more so than most NiMH cells.
The TOMY cell will handle up to about 600mAh charge current (at this current level it should take about 5-8 minutes to charge), and will last 1/2 an hour with a 2.2 motor.Remember, the faster you charge a cell, the shorter it’s service life will be.
Dave i rekon i could build you a 4 car charger that does just that……..:)
I sorta want one, they have the proper steering now, and those F1’s look very sexy.
Quote:Yeah, there’s a few things on the tool that I don’t know what they do.I know the following functions:
1) Shell removal via front hook.
2) Heatsink removal via indented tab.
3) Motor pinon removal via slide.ph2t.
Yes, there is those three handy things, and also a small clip thing that protrudes out the side which is used for Bit/Kitt racers.
The best thing to do is, when you get a bit char-g, bend the heatsink in slightly, so you wont have this problem.
I thought you said you ran out of them, on the other hand gt-ahh sells them (duh!….obviously).
I bought 12 off him and was very satisfied with them.
Even a simple LM317/LM350 charger which only costs a few dollars to make does wonders.
I am unsure what vr-4 is on about (can never understand his posts) but i know there is standard plates, “O” shaped plates, and i believe the “x” plate is in the shpe of an x.
As for the FETS, you need to buy 12 new ones, the stock ones are discarded.
Contact Aaron (Moderator), he has some FETS he wants to sell i believe.
2×6 stack will fit fine under the cover.
The bearings are a special make, you will have to order some from the usa or something http://www.rcmart.com
The plates are the linkage from the chassis and rear suspension, you will need carbon fibre ones.
The Plasma Dash needs no brush replacement.
Quote:A larger storage battery would increase the runtime with a motor like that, which tends to drain he battery more than slower motors. The lkarger storage battery will require extra charging, and I don’t think any charger in a controller detects if the battery is full, they just do timed charges suitable for the standard battery.
Reminder: The standard charger only puts about 5mah into the battery, so if you use a nicad or a nimh they are both ok.
If you use a different charger, you can get 30 mins runtime from a stock tomy battery, and 1hour+ from a nimh cell.
I’ve got a few of these on the way myself :approve:
Is the cripple cap in the car the little capacitor just in series with the antenna?? I am pretty sure it is but i just want to be safe.

Nah, it should run just fine, the stock battery can flow around 1500mah+ of current, the perfection motor uses about 200mah.
Pics please….
Stuff that, i am gonna build my own boat.
Hull will be balsa.
mechanics will be bit char-g, with mosfet mod, 3 cells and a perfection 3.8/4.2 motor.
Hey, i’ve got a Firebird XL, very stable flyer, just get the thing trimmed up all right, fly in the right conditions and you should have success.
Man it would be a sweet getaway car, even if you get cornered by cops, just flick a switch and the cops are screwed.
I want a datsun 1600 that transforms into a Ferrari ENZO…:shy:
*Contemplates whether or not to grab a digi q*
Nah ill just save for a new goped engine instead.
Was interested in it, but its waaay too expensive for me.
Why not use proper putty??
Strange! Got no idea what the problem would be without testing it myself.

the GH doesn’t really *need* any more power… :D:D540 is rated to pump out 0.05hp I think.
(That’s about ~35W?)If one really demanded more power, how about dropping in a
Novak SS brushless system… that’s rated at 196W. 👿Hmm… project Froghopper… 😯
Only 35 watts?? I think some 540’s have a bit more power than that…. closer to 100 watts.
