YEEESSSSS!!!!! i am so getting the enzo body!!!
VR-4, hich is only a newbie to mini z, its just stupid suggesting a newbie to get all those power upgrades first.
I agree with aaron, i think it is best to get parts in this order… NiMH batteries, ball bearings, ball diff, Carbon h plate/o plate (plastic ones break), better tyres.
It is also advisable to buy an alloy servo gear, because it is quite easy to strip a plastic/delrin one.
Once you can handle it, then its time to add a bit more power. The x speed motor is a step ip from stock, with good torque, speed and runtime.
BTW Aaron, what is the TOR kit??
I have a 1/10, so dont annoy me.
Have you tried a perfection 3.8/4.2 now they are fast!
LOL ripoff.
Thats what we do…the fets we get are the highest spec ones i think, so thats why we stack them…
Remember these fets do not have heatsinks so it is fairly limited as to what they can handle…again that is why we stack them.
Yeah id come 🙂
Bit Char-G’s DO BNOT have propo steering….You will find the reason why mini z’s are so expensive, is because they are very good, you will soon realise a hopped up tin car will never come close to a Z, because it is so primitive in the areas of handling and stability, as well as the control of a Z is sensational
Quote:And just as a thought – one of the guys I work with *waves down the corridor towards RingoDingo HQ* has had great success running a low buck TL-01 in the local clubs here. He’s got the stock TL01 kit (Nissan 350Z) runs the speed tuned gear set and big pinion. Oh and a GM V4R ESC. Ball bearings ofcourse.
And that’s it – he’s beating much ‘better’ chassis and having a ball on a limited budget.
The point being that for his AU$200 plus radio gear investment he’s getting on very well. Yes he did buy the car kit for like AU$135
I don’t race any of my chassis preferred to hack around at lunchtimes with the guys or on the beach etc.
A.
Thats cool! i really want to have a competitive car, but on a tight budget, (im only 16 for f***s sake!!!) I dont have a huge cash flow, and work kicked me off the roster for taking time off…..
Thanks Aaron and Panda, you have been most helpful
Yeah i did see that panda, i though it *might* have been computer engineered, but maybe not.
Thanks for the info, i am now totally unsure, i need to find out more about them all.
GOD I HOPE THE ENZO BODY FITS THE OLD MINI Z!!!
As i said…IT IS TOO LATE NOW
Im a 16 year old dude, i dont have the cash flow for digital servos etc.
Damn!! that hobby shop in perth has incredible prices, but they do not stock the model I want…..
Is it possible to buy separate shells for these cars in aussie, i am so totally obsessed by the ferarri enzo its not funny.
Thanks aaron, the kit DOES not have radio gear, just the stock rs540 motor and the truly horrible mechanical speed controller.
What prices are you talking about for a TT01 KIT only?
If it is cheap enough i might be able to move up to an even better model, but I must have the ENZO, i know its a stupid thing to pick a R/C car by the shell, but love does strange things….
LOL aaaaaaaaaand the winner is……..BARTO by a huge margin!!!:clown::clown:
Can Mr. Threadlock find my lost wheelnut? Nope didnt think so, and i take my wheels off often, so it would be useless, and the locknuts have the plastic locker thing anyway, mine came off because god hates me.
I cant wait to see what is compatible and what isnt.
ENZO BODY??? ARE YOU SERIOUS???
Id love a baja…….
Okay, what i want is a car that *could* be competitive, but is good value, easily maintained and durable.
I really had trouble choosing, but the TT seemed a good car from what my LHS told me, and it has the ENZO shell.
My LHS wants about 300 for the kit, is this good or bad value?
It is a lot less powerful than the mini z, it has non proportional control, and there arent many hopups.
range might be a problem…
You can buy an AIRTRONICS RV2PS radio system, (Pistol TX, Rx, 2 servos etc) for Around 50 USD.
My brother has this set and he has never used it, i might be able to have a chat with him….Oh its 27mhz, so the mini z tx works with it, and personally i think the feel of the mini z tx is better than the airtronics one.
Oh, and panda, what class9es0 do you race in???
I usecd to have one of those cars but i never hopped it up.
