Actually Jamie the application is for (twin engine)mini aeroplane use, so absolute max power is not the highest priority, I am just looking for something powerful AND reliable.
I’ll get a hold of a few of these and see how I go.
    Thanks,

90 degrees, lol, correct me if I’m wrong, but isnt that vertical. 60 is impressive, but 90??
    I dunno about that one.:dead:

    enertec cars???

TiteMonkey, the enertec cars (in Australia) = micro speed cars (US & Canada)
At least I think they sell them in Canada, because VDM has one for sale and he’s from Canada.

That looks to be coming along nicely.
I hope those cells are 200s, your going to need them running 2 motors.

Another fanatic joins the elite minority of ZipZap SE owners in Australia, lol.
Did you get any hop-ups as well? The 3.4 purple motors for those cars rock, faster than a king 4.2 in a ZZ SE. (but only in a ZZ SE, otherwise the 4.2 is quicker)

Early on the ‘Perfection’ stuff was sold on ebay as ‘Japan Perfection’, not really sure why.
But for a long time it has only been sold as “perfection”, and as Bithed says it is the branding name of Toyeast.
All the stuff I have bought from them is a pretty good quality too.

SMP, the Jap perfection stuff is sold by Toyeast (HK).
Here is a link to their micro rc menus,
    Toyeast micro rc menu
Then look down on the left hand side and click on “Micro RC Tomy” and choose “Parts – Motor” and you will see the various Perfection motors for sale.
And here is a link to their home page so you can see all the other stuff they sell as well.
    Toyeast home page
Their postage is not super cheap but they are very reliable and quick, I give them a big thumbs up. There are a few threads on Ausmicro as well about peoples thoughts about buying from Toyeast, do a search for it if you like.

P.S. I like the new sig line too, lol.

    Yes definitely Enertec.
Whats under the cover, my gusee is something that needs air cooling. Lots of cells too perhaps.

(Betty.k if you press “return” between inserting pics in a post, they come out one above the other instead of next to each other. Just makes it easier to view them thats all)

So give us some more info here, whats going on?

Thanks Jamie, thats the sort of info I am looking for.
I have my eye on the plasma dash as the one I want to work with.

Bithed, I’m not looking to hop these up myself (yet) just doing some ground work before I get into them a little further. I dont have much experience with these, that will come in time. Are you able to get the plasmas/neo-magnets/bbs/end bells etc? If so can I get some prices please. The first step is to get some into my hot little hands.

Jamie, back to you, I gather the best place is to look around online then, can you recommend anywhere (prefferably one place) that sells all the bits to make a fairly strong plasma dash. (Where do you buy from?)

    Thanks,
    :)uA

Have a look in the backgroung of those pics too, looks like a funny multi-wheeled vehicle, another one that didnt make it into production. Just a concept perhaps.

uA, all hobby cars are 512 step, that’s what we consider fully propo, a select few cars are 1024, but those systems are mostly for aircraft.

Ok, thanks OTP. I didnt realise that the equipment I would term “commercial r/c gear” was 512 steps. Even better at 1024.
As for the rest of the ‘hobby’ argument, well, how long is a piece of string?

I had a play with one of these today (thanks LeonLi17), very interesting little things.
They scream. lol. Kinda funny, they maybe ancient but they slipped under my radar, never heard of them before.

…..infact they dont even know that im into it!!

Jamie is still ‘in the closet’.

I’d be interested to get my hands on a XM and decide for myself.
How many segments of control does it take to be classed as propo anyway? I would have thought that 16 segments would blend to a fairly smooth speed curve. So throw a number at me. 64, 128, more…and why?

Micro Amps have you takin one of the SBCG TX’s apart to see were the connections are going?

Yes, kind of. They do go into the circuit board, and are ligitimate inputs, but I havent traced them out 100% because there’s no point really. The fact that they go to pin 11 doesnt really mean anything, the data sheets for this chip are not available. Probably not published deliberately. Once they go on sale in the USA they will have to be listed with the FCC and then we can get the info, but until then I guess it stays a secret.
The manufacturer also has no listing of the production of this chip.
So we just wait and see.

Very subtle HiCH. Your modesty amazes me, well done.
    Now, back on topic…..

    Question, …..
Ph2t does the super glue “cure” the blutack and make it go hard, or does it dry in a skin over the top, and stays soft inside?

BTW, Titaniumonkey, blutack IS light blue, just these pics dont show the true color, or perhaps the super glue causes a slight color change.

Good stuff MB, it will be interesting to see how they work too. Can they be fet modd as well?
Just have to wait and see I suppose.

And yes, I’m starting to notice that OTP is not a huge Radio Shack fan, lol.

    Car functions not yetutilised VDM.
Wait for a booster car, perhaps even with another function too.
Once they come out you will already have a controller for them.

Just peak charged a ZipZap SE, and sure enough, 20+ minutes of run time, included in that was 1.2Km on a Tamiya speed checker, then another 10 mins around the kitchen and dining room.
There is no problem at all with the cells in these cars, just the controller desnt fill them anywhere near enough.
    Might be another mod idea.:smiley2:
