I set up my KIT racer to use axels I had modified for char-g’s (to make them truly interchangable), by adding a small plastic shim on the non-geared side. Maybe you could trim down the axel and true up the chassis instead.
I think a ford set, GT40, 1960’s mustang and an old english-style Shelby cobra. Come to think of it, 3 blue on white striped cobras would be cool, the old english one, a ‘stang and an XC Falcon
I’d love to see a DeLorean/B2tF tuneup set.
I dunno if it was just mine, but the HSV Monaro I bought was a p.o.s. Bad range, slow as a wet week, and poor battery/run time. Has anyone been able to make one go well?
Where the hell did you get a ZZ in Australia, man?
bored tech, man… The web site didn’t show tyres or motors, both of which I am interested in, got any idea of price from the real life shop??? Is there a way you could hook a bruva up with some race-win gear???

Depends when you want the power.
It would be easiest to add them in series with the turbo pod/thingy. Otherwise, I dunno how you would do it without having to put higher voltage relays in. If you were using the

diagram, cut the green wire… Put a battery holder inline with it (check it first but i believe it would be -ive close to the pod, +ive close to the relay, but CHECK first, no good killing batteries). Dunno what the motors’ll take, but I’d say no more than 12v including main batteries (ie, no more than 2-4 additional batteries).
Personally i don’t think adding batteries is gunna make THAT much difference, mine just has a straight relay mod, and I have replaced the motor with a quicker-feeling Jaycar one and even on reasonably grippy surfaces the tyres slip around.Depends how fast the lead is travelling 😛
you run different sized (and therefore capacity) batteries, hows that workin out?
I couldn’t find any parts listed on the website…?
I was kinda disappointed with my relay mod, but it does mean if I do get my grubby mitts on a rediculously fast motor, I can use it.Man i aspire to get a Mini-z but sadly race-tins are as far as my wallet stretches
Think game shows… the “wrong answer” noise
They feel like a giant char-g handling-wise, same sorta controls etc…
Parkmore is in Keysborough (between Dandenong and Spingvale). Go-Lo is in the food court strangly enough. I dunno if they still have them tho, this is about 3 months ago now.

5 and 6 pin relays are the same, the 5th and 6th pins are connected internally. I haven’t tried using 5volt relays on a race-win, and i guess they would work (1.2 * 4 = 4.8v) but i do know that jaycar 6v 6pin relays work a treat.
what batteries you running that cause the buzzing???

Do you have different tyres for yours?

I bought mine from Go-Lo (Parkmore – largest single storey building in the southern hemisphere) in Melbourne, that might help.
A guy I live with said he saw them in Springvale. In the plaza/arcade/centre place, it’s a mobile phone shop, but it has “char-g’s, race-tin’s and race-win’s” he reckons.
get a series 2 race tin, with the pistol grip, of the same frequecy as ur race-win, it’ll work, but you won’t have turbo unless you pull it apart and do your own mod. I sometimes use my race-win controller on mt race-tin for the extra range they get.
I have tried winding my own motor, and the less said about that debarcle the better.
The race-win has the worst tyres ever tho

you’d need 2 seperate battery packs if you still want turbo to work, i personally didn’t think it was worth the stuffing around
it is a thai or malaysian site http://www.carmoworld.com
Prices are good, shipping is outrageous

Yeah man, no wukkas, I’m running four 6v relays from jaycar, iono if it is worth the hassle/expense unless you got a hot as hell motor to put in it. I’ll see if I can upload the schematics to the gallery or tech section…
