the putty is a games workshop product called green stuff, its a two part putty that has a half hour of work time before it starts to cure. retails for around $15. it is the substance that all citadel minatures are sculpted in before they are cast into pewter molds.

like the echo i didn’t take any piccies b4 getting to work on them… i was to eager to mod something new!
the shell originally had no details like the air funnels and since checking the shells out at toy east i noticed the ones on the doors, oh well. i’ll just leave them off.
i first carefully cut the right general shape of air ducts and sanded it back with fine s-paper,
then mixed and filled the gap with putty and then poked a hole through using a paintbrush end.
using the smooth surface of the end of the p-brush i then pressure polished the surface while suporting the interrior of the putty with a fingure. waited until solid(next day) and then cut the excess and then sanded back.

this process was used to fill in the rear window as well.

    where is danny prat at?

the range on the sbcg aint that bad. these beasts shouldn’t be used on the floor anyway.they are to nice to muck around with and really, how big does a track really need to be?

i’m sure tomy will implement the two extra buttons at some stage. (up/down boost maybe)

    hang on there ua….

my transformer collection alone cost me over $800….. let alone all my bits, bots and figures…..

nothing beats racing these little beasts on a nice small track with beer within reach and a few mates who have enough concentration to not just drive the wrong way and laugh when creating collisions……..

i thought this thread was about putting money on bit racing… makin money…. sounds like an idea.

thanx all. toyota echo eh? nice….

wouldn’t know what brand it was, it came in a clear plastic bag at an asian model shop with out any info. had to mod the slots slightly to fit the chassis.

sorry camshaft, i sprayed it as soon as i got it, the quality of the martini logo was top notch.
    it could of been official…..

    enjoy the boat Aaron.

once on the way back the other ferry got stuck outside of port in tassie and had to wait for a tug boat. took em an extra couple of hours.

if you got a spare weekend check out the amazing cradle mountain. nice accom, via cosy cabins.

hope you and your gal have a good time.
