the shell got a sand down first to get rid of the enamel paint (it was soo ugly, red and yellow).

white acrylic (very thin) undercoat next followed by a thin layer of silver on all the edges and superglue.

black out the windows, then carefully give the whole shell a base colour coat, avoiding any metalwork on the car.

nows the tricky part, using the other two colours of the scheme paint shapes over the base colour.i made sure i left a line of the base colour (dark green) to keep the pattern looking even.

i used a slashed up hippy dress 👿 for the trailer netting.

all metal objects that arnt aluminium were under coated black and then drybrushed with gunmetal and then highlighted on the edges with silver.

mr barto are you talking springs or tomy standard.

the tomy ones need a flat screwdriver to pop em off.

    GT: spin-out eh?

isn’t drift the art of controlled spin out?
the secret is custom drift tires! tomy drift axle as you gotta know by now sux, the idea is good but hard plastic tires don’t grip at all.

copy the cut out idea and hack some grooves into a pair of hard rubber rear tires, try to keep them neat and even and make sure to use a real sharp blade.

without clones i wouldn’t have had as much fun.

the kit pinion will work with any gear set!

you need to trim the plastic where the pinion gear belongs and use two flat tipped screws to balance the motor angle, try it b4 you say it don’t work again.;)

    satin varnish……

    DUSTY FLOOR! no respecta!

180 degree turns are easily acheivable with the right tyre combo on a generously satin varnished COFFEE table. i can even whip my trailered Bb around 120 degrees if at full speed when turning av a look at the beast

chemicals and dust might simulate what u desire but deep down you Know the truth “this is NOT a mini-z”

go buy a booster and a tyre set and then you can really drift!!!:smiley2:
