the pinions, yes. dunno about the rest:8ball:
well, if you get hold of a pcb with a rx6c chip in it you get 2 extra channels. if you get hold of a couple of external h bridges you can connect the steering to one to drive the steering motor back and forth. the other you can add to the extra channels and drive a third motor.
jeez, wouldn’t it be good if someone made little h bridges for sale:smiley2::8ball:

i’d go with an african explorer theme, khaki. maybe a wilderbeast strapped to the bonnet!:p:8ball:
that’s an impressive bunch of tracks!
if you build it, they will come!:smiley2::8ball:
not really, the 1.5 has a servo saver and brake:8ball:
like i said, we’ve done it before, no sweat. and there won’t be any sharp turns to flip the cars so we should be fine.
so where you wanna mount the cam’s? shooting through lexan gives a blurry picture so we either need to cut a hole in the windscreen or mount the cam’s outside the shell.:8ball:
hot diggety dog!:smiley2:
offroad is where it’s at!:8ball:
nah, our cameras are slightly different frequencies, we’ve done it before at templestowe:8ball:
nah, no need. my aerials are the right length and i’m confident that a raised rx aerial will give us enough range.
panda, not including mine, how many cameras are we talking? and how many recording devices?
my thinking is if there’s only 1 recorder then we only need 1 rx. and if it’s only yours and mine we’re set.:8ball:
i dunno, threads like this have all the wit and pace of a c.b. radio conversation:approve::8ball:
ok, no sweat. you had me goin’ for a minute there!:D:8ball:
play nice fellers, play nice:angry::8ball:
as gripping a read as that was, next time pm each other!:clown::8ball:
hey provoked, i’ll warm up the porsche xmod for ya when we meet next:smiley2::8ball:
it would have been a spider man hummer zz mt.
that is some awesome work, both the body and what’s under it!:smiley2: if it’s not already propo then you gotta do it! total control!:p:8ball:
ignore the abs brake question from me, i was thinking iw02:clown:
sounds like your trim is out. put the car on a stand so the rear wheels aren’t touching anything. fiddle with the throttle trim until it starts to creep forward, then back it off until it stops and is silent.:8ball:
hpi japan
3-25-36 takaokanishi
hamamatsu-shi, shizuoka-ken.
ph: 053 439 0833
fax: 053 439 0844hope that helps:smiley2::8ball:
are you sure it’s not a trim adjustment problem?
is the abs brake on?:8ball:this truck would be a perfectly good racer out of the box, it’s certainly tough enough (TRUST me!:dead:) it understeers a little which makes for easy control bashing around the yard but adjustments can easily be made to quicken the steering for race conditions.:8ball:
i think you should listen to mr blue. try this experiment, jump in a 1:1 car and floor it. see any similarities?:smiley2::8ball:
thanks gang, i’ll try to get some vid up soon:smiley2::8ball:
i figure a bug needs some retro charm so i went for the metallic paint and moon decals.
i tell ya, i hope i don’t have to do another 1:10 body for a while, cutting and applying decals is a real pain even when you cheat like i did (hpi logos left in the windows!):8ball:

hearns hobbies in flinders st city stock mini z’s (mr01, mr02, overland, madforce)
if you want the street version then get a mr02.
but if you’re not able to find a smooth surface you might want to look into an overland or mad force:8ball:merc, you just don’t know when to have fun!:smiley2::8ball:
x speed motors are good, i used to run one with a 10t pinion and it was definately fast enough to keep you on your toes.
when doing fet stacks you remove the stock ones.:8ball:
