Without boost it will run at about 1.6 – 2.0 speeds (1.9 if the engine existed), and like a 3.8 when boosted.

There is no extra speed to be gained out of a motor from a booster set, just control in cornering. They provide half speed and normal speed for any gievn motor.

I think packed dirt will just end up clogging the parts on the car, damage the body, and mess with the steering with the metal particles the cars steering magnets will collect.

I’d go for a painted surface – nothing loose to collect in the car – that’s slippery. Still get the action traction and drift, but don’t stuff your car up.

A Lotus would be nice.
A Bourbon Adonis would be very cool (look it up on the net – it’s wild).
More of the worlds super cars. The ones that when they drive by every one looks at it and goes ‘wow’, even if they’re not a car buff.

Swap 2.2 motors in the Z for another 2.2 and see if it’s just the motor. Turned out mine was shipped with a dud motor. I put the 2.2 from the Auto Mod set into the Z and it ran the way I had expected it to before I bought it.

I only ended up competing in 1 race. To make it fair on others I decided that to be elligible to win you had to compete in more than 1 race.

I used a points system, then divided the points earned by the number of races run to come out with an average score.

1st – 5 points
2nd – 3 points
3rd – 2 points
4th – 1 point

The idea of the points system being that two 2nds are worth more than one 1st, etc.

The winner was Chuggy in his Silver Supra. When awarded the trophy he held it up over his head. It went really well. He’ll have to make the trophy for IMBGP2.

So, can someone who has done the spring mod please inform the rest of us if the spring mod makes the turning circle tighter (smaller diameter circle) or bigger (larger diameter circle). Cheers.

Trackbuilder.exe must be in c:trackmaker directory, or it doesn’t work. You can’t just install it anywhere. It’s a pain to get installed sometimes, but works pretty well once it does. It’s good for getting ideas about your track layout, but you’ll need to modify the end result to get a nice non-boxy looking track in the end.

What’s an FC?

Now we’re talkin. Eurpoean sports cars. And about time. REAL cars worthy of getting excited about. Not this mass produced, average person can afford, sports cars. Something to dream about, not pay off in 5 years. sigh.

I’ll probably get flamed by all the Jap sports cars lovers out there. blackeye:

Remember to take photo’s as you go, and write a 300 page how to guide including construction specs and insert slot A into Hole B diagrams… :smiley2:

Locksmiths also have very small springs, in lots of sizes. I’ve read the springs form the slot cars (some makes anyway) fit really well, ubt you still have to cut them to size. I’m planning on asking the local locksmith tomorrow or early next week. I’ll let you all know how it goes.
