Damn, i was gonna empty a chassis, fill it with lil Leds and paint it pimpy pink, then paint my s2000 body black use my pullback rims, put on a GTR spoiler and whammo!
LOL my bit controller makes my stereo go ‘eeeee warrrrr ooooooooo eeeepppp’ , and my mini z tx makes even weirder noises.

Began life as an original Grasshopper + Hornet, rest of it now is pretty much all Tamiya… just not from the GH & H box. :smiley2:

Mine has full bb’s, a kyosho mega 14×2 motor, and non original radio gear (50A MOSFET esc etc.)
Now it has:
-Poly cement 🙂
-Zip ties :p
-Metal pins holding suspension together :smiley2:It still runs the original tyres which are pushing 10 yrs :D:D
As you may now only too well panda, the GH/SH is a fragile beast, especially when given a bucketload of power :dead:
Panda- I need your professional opinion, I am looking for an ELECTRIC buggy for general purpose use (ie club racing (just for fun)) that i can race on the road and take off road, it has to be EXTREMELY durable, reasonably priced, I would prefer 4wd but will settle with 2wd (or a car that can be converted) it also needs good tech support and good parts availability,
can you help me make a choice??

Yeah i admitted my GH11 (same car prettymuch) to E ward again last night. So far i have managed to break……
-2 side bumper mounts
-Front Left shock tower
-Rear Left shock
-Crack/scratch shellShes all fixed now after surgery, and ready to go.
I noticed my local tennis courts have been resurfaced……god its great to drive on. Especially when you enter a corner, pump the brake, jam on the juice and give some opposite lock :D:D:D
These cars were built to drift, just gave my motor a tune up last night, so i cant wait to try it out 🙂

Interesting about using the 5 volt DC-DC converter, looks like your fets could handle quite a few amps before they self-destruct.

Back to cars, i took my old tamiya grasshopper 2 for a bash today, and managed to break a front suspension tower :O. It really pissed me off, cause i’ve put so much time and effort into restoring her and i had her going perfect. A spare tower cut off an old chassis, a few zip ties, a drill and 5 mins fixed it up, but it does look a bit ugly 🙁
Hafta say tho, few things are as fun as throwing an extremely overpowered (motor is still on ‘0’ degree timing :O) buggy around on the tarmac, it spins the treads until the thing has reached its max speed, which is about 100km/h no load, about 70km/h load speed.
Considering this thing was gunna be a bin-job i am extremely pleased how it turned out.
I refuse to buy one, i will wait till ford bring out their line (prolly never) then i will buy a FPV GTP or an XR6 Turbo.
Okay, is the detail as good as kyosho? my main concern is head/tail lights, because im making a car to enter in contests etc, so its gotta be good.
So ts okay then?? I thought at the price advertised it was a bit iffy…
