do any of you guys add com drops while running in?
gonna be making a purchase from these guys soon. anyone else want in?
MWAHAHAHA!
found myself a cheap alternative! bought a nano dragon2 a while back (waste of money) and remembered that they came with transmitters that can be changed from AM to FM. the units are 19USD!!!!!
thanks for the help guys
i don’t really have a price range. cheaper is definitely better. i don’t need anything fancy. just FM 40MHz
yeah i figured it would be specific and that i was just missing a vital bit of information in the description.
yeah i definitely agree about the 40MHz micro receivers. been looking for 27MHz ones and had no luck.
has anyone seen any cheap 40MHz TX’s?
@leonli17 – wasn’t able to find anything at rctech. can you give me something more specific?a little off the topic, but i’ve seen a few fm receivers liek this one and they don’t have any frequency mentioned. is this just a misprint? can they run on any frequency???
i’ve been having a few problems with mine too.
while running in the motor pulsates from time to time. only does so when its been running for a while. wierd. maybe there is a problem with the first batch…
looks a lot like the time i hit a reflector in the road at 50+k’s except i bet you didn’t bet the serious air i did lol. i couldn’t have done it again if i tried!
fkn awesome! i’ve been dying to make a brushless mr-02 and ph2t’s recent thread has fired me up again lol.
so which frequency would people go for? 27 MHz or 75 MHz? i’m thinking 75 because there are more receivers available on ebay 🙂
anyone seen any cheaper ones, or better for the same price?
thanks for the offer mate. i have already squeezed it back it, before the lighter trick was mentioned, and added a dab of super glue to the outside of the bearing being ever so careful that non gets in to the important bits. seems to be ok now. i guess the real test will come when i give it another thrashing and the superglue melts lol.
done some research and the Feigao’s only do a max 50,000 rpm.
so i guess running a lipo setup max voltage would be around 8v which would mean the highest safe rpm/v rating would be 6240rpm/v.although what i’m not sure of is if the actual top speed under load. maybe you could go a little higher if the 50,000rpm limit is set by the bearings. i have no experience when it comes to this…
7800kv? you may have just got me interested again…:D
wow man thats fkn impressive!!!
i’ve been making a pisspoor attempt to do that same over the last few months. biggest obstacle is that i don’t have an FM transmitter. doesn’t seem to be much point in doing it AM. plus there aren’t many cheap receivers available on ebay!
are you planning on rewinding the motor to get more speed? i always found that a major drawback. if you were running 4 cells max rpm would be a little under 30,000. thats kinda sucky
how is the pinion you drilled out going? are you having any trouble with it not being exactly centre anymore?
some awesome work man :topstuff:
just got my micro-t today. SWEET!!!!
i see what you guys are saying about never looking back. i could easily see this becoming my new pride and joy.
one problem though. out of the box the on/off switch doesn’t work properly. i have to force it to the on position to turn on and even then it sometimes turns off. anyone else had any problems with their micro-t out of the box?
yeah always. but it did happen while i was running a LiPo setup. when i picked it up the motor was hot but no hotter than its been on NimH
hey guys i’d love to get in on a group buy too if thats ok. but i guess whoever does the ordering won’t want it to get out of hand so if its ok let me know.
yeah definitely need to run them in. comm drop work a treat too.
depends what you want. i had some great experience with them till i pre-ordered a Nano dragon 2. massive confusion trying to cancel some of my order and keep the rest. they don’t speak english very well.
so to sum up i guess if you plan to make an order you don’t want to change they are good :topstuff:
that toe out looks like it would eat the crap out of your tires! have you tried a top speed run with no toe (both wheels forward)? it looks like the toe would cause massive amounts of drag.
looks pretty sweet, although it doesn’t really look like a car. just a bare chassis..lol.
don’t worry about the size mate. did some hunting around and found it.
yeah? have you tried a picooz tail prop on your airlark? did wonders for mine.
even 4 amps is pretty weak. i get more than that with a good set of AAA’s
was gonna head down to the templestowe track tomorrow afternoon at about 4ish, assuming i can sneak out of work early. anyone interested?
does anyone else (from melbourne) want one of these? if we bought a few we could save on the price of shipping. might get a meet to happen a little quicker 😉
i guess TFTR is the templestowe track then?
Nah mate just got today off. back to work tomorrow. i was thinking of taking off from work early one day. the track is on my way home. i’d have to go in to work tomorrow though and check what the work load is like. would most likely be wednesday. maybe we can discuss this is this thread though. i think there might be a few others interested.
Hey Aaron any chance you will be getting any of these in?
don’t really like the idea of paying 19USD for shipping… -
