Why not petition JNH? They’re the company who’s got sole import rights to Tomy stuff…
How cold is your surrounding ambient temperature?
imho The battery is probably too small to retain much heat, you’ll not be able to notice much heating effect. Tiny batteries also have more surface area vs volume compared to a larger cell, so has better heat transfer.
If its overcharged it’ll just vent its electrolyte silently and doubt you’ll see any trace of that.
Just my luck, we’ve got SKATERZ here… :clown:
I found an excellent ‘other’ use for it too. If you’ve ever got problems with ppl nicking the badges of your 1:1 car (the ones with fixing studs, not the doublesided taped ones), ShoeGoo them down. 🙂 Never come off again.
That teddy would be about correct *scale* for a BCG… makes me wanna go build a BCG interior! 🙂
Looks beaut, Dave!!
What electronics went into making of those blockbusters?? :smiley16:
(whoa, Kitty’s innuendos flying in full force)
Say, how come no one’s suggested a badged duffle bag or backpack.
One big enough to carry all the stuff you need to go Bit racing.
Better still, one just big enough to hold a 1/10.
Toyworld is a franchise, but I’m told they have centralised purchasing.
Quote:i was thinking epoxy the insideEpoxy doesn’t stick as well as you think, and it weighs a tonne.
Try “ShoeGoo” – it sticks a lot better and remains flexible; We use it on lexan bodyshells. Its made for repairing sportshoes but that’s the last thing I’ve used it for. Usually available in good shoe stores but you have to ask for it.
They’re made by the same ppl who’ve mastered writing poems on a grain of rice… 😀
I don’t even *have* a body… yet. 🙁
I think he means the motor contact terminal; it screws into plastic so you’ll have more luck with superglue. (Don’t get any on the copper contact though!)
Some threadlocks will dissolve plastics.
So the white ones are better?
I think the black ones are Japan, the China mZs all seem to have white pinions.
LHS has original Kyosho BB set with a $89.95 tag.:shy: Brown usual packaging.
Ya its probably ~A$20 (incl postage) if you buy from say HK or similar o/s. I’m still accumulating a list of stuff I’m after before putting an order through. Might as well hit it all at once.
Quote:Yes i was gonna buy a learjet but i dont have the space……….:clown:Why not? Ppl have carports but John Travolta has an airport backing up to his new house.
Personally I prefer a Cessna… the Citation X is classier than any Lear, and has better range too.
Ok, maybe I’d even settle for a Gulfstream V. 😀
Supported!
There’s more to changing frequency than just swapping xtals. There’s 2 or 3 different components on the TX board that differs according to freq too.
What are you changing freq for anyway?
There’s no easy way of changing the *car’s* freq that we know of… so unless you want your TX to work on another car of different freq, why do it.

Quote:i dont think that the 3.0’s ever hit the market for the K.I.T. racers… nobody was buying them, and thats why everyone is unloading them. The Lucifer Rotor 3.0 pack that we all know is really a “BitRacer” part, its not an official BCG option.
Haven’t seen any KIT option bits available downunder, doubt if they’ll ever arrive.
If you guys know kiddies into Mini4WD craze, they have many body-modding tools available. Most handy is “micro saw” – its like a saw blade mounted in an Xacto handle.
Guess it depends what cells you can get, more than anything else.
Doesn’t seem to be anyway of getting original Tomy nicad cells apart from scraping one off a BCG or KIT.
Dropped you a PM, bh. thanks!! 🙂
Quote:LOL Just buy a mini z beaaring set……….way easier.Ain’t paying A$89.95 for that… 😯
Chances are, its probably only sold as a whole “chassis parts” pack.
Try first filling up the threads with either superglue gel or some epoxy, then drilling/tapping it out correctly. Save some $$.
Quote:…I’ve just turned 22! And everyone at my party has said that I’m too old to be playing with toys…And then they hand me a beautifully wrapped Black Celica 35Mhz BCG, with a 2.6 motor!!! WHooo Hoooo!
Where do you *find* friends like yours??! 🙂
Last year I had to go buy my own black Celica, whatta drag. What??
I win?
But I never win anything… (:D)
Quote:i should have a sweepstake to pick the final price…in fact I will…one special sticker sheet to the FIRST person to pick the final price…Timing determined by posts on THIS page…bring it on…lol…Very sporting of you, Bithed!
