the ford pickup pick iis real nice talldude and the track looks fun… last night i went for a walk with the little pajero and found some nice gardens to race through the=at where conveniently lit up real well…

a blank land cruiser would be somethin id be interested in Aaron. hummers are a must as well…

when i got home last night (to the motel) i openened up the the black box (thats what the bB stands for apparently) and i was really astounded at the difference between the ertyl kits compared to the tamiya ones… all stops where pulled out for this kit, the tyres are softer and have a better tread than the OL ones… and they fit on stock z rims (mmm alloys!) the kit comes with a few optional parts like side skirts and even interior carpet for the floor… and pre cut masking for some of the windows that need black outlining…

    really nice kit indeed!!!

thought of doing a nice gif using black or really dark grey chalk? you could get a close up shot from a standstill with it ripping a burnout! it would look sweeeeet!

i’ll be in dural tonight. probably around 8 or 9pm.

having 3 cars means i’ll be able to have a few different set-ups ready to go for sunday.

8 tooth, stock chassis and x-speed sounds good. i can fulfill all those requirements.

in my observations yes there definatly is a trade off. ask me to explain why and id be lost for words tho…

remember how tomy bcg s came with ni-cads installed, then the whole rave about ni-mh’s came around and well they didnt make the car go any harder really on the SAME charge as standard batts. they could take a longer charge because of the higher mah rating (double charge) but in the end overall the nimhs never had the overall power of the lower rated ni-cads…

but then all that could be a bad example because im comparing 2 types of battery…

i thought that the higher the rating the longer the runtime, i.e. my 600mah batts allways go harder than the 700mah and especially the 800mah batts. but the 800mah allways run for longer than the 600mah rated batts..

i think thats what petes getting at dave.

this anima motor is the one that can work with stock z s right?

can you compare it with a stock kyosho x-speed if you or betty have one ph2t?

im interested in hearing about it as the spaces i run my z’s are all pretty tight and i find my kyosho x-speed to be the best motor ive ever had in terms of reliability, long runtimesand performance.

i second betty’s opinion, its a stock diff with an alloy wheel attachment.

whered you find this dgs? it looks complicated but high tech! i wouldnt mind testing it out myself…

has anyone seen that type of antenna before? see the coppertone spring in the top right corner…

the wide foams from the ausmicro store work on the front and back no problems. i dont know why kyosho only makes wide rims for the rear axle only…

maybe you got a set of the narrow rims izord?

seing as though the other thread is locked, i thought i might add some inspirational pics of 1/24th plastic kits that have been modded to fit in with the mad max theme. it might seem duanting but for those that havent done any body mods before this apocalyptic theme will really be easy to acheive compared to the usual clean cut styling that goes on. the more gritty and crusty the work ends up the more in theme it will be.

if anyone wants me to id be happy to do a basic tutorial on modifying 1/24th kits to fit a mini-z chasis and also painting effects to get a rusty and crusty look for your cars.

ok heres some pics borrowed from http://www.madmaxmodels.com/pacustoms.html
