    Depends where you’re getting the Avatar from…. I haven’t changed anythign at this end to affect anythign like that.

    If you scroll down your screen you’ll see a “quick reply” box, you can enter a reply in here and hit the “Post New Reply” button to post.

    If you want to add more things like pictures and stuff below the “Quick Reply Box” there are links that let you:

    “New Topic” Start a new topic thread
    “Reply to Topic” Reply to the thread just liek the Quick replay but with all the extra bits.

    And so on. All of this will only work if you are logged on.

    *nods* Panda is right – THere is always a cost/benefit call to be made.

    Personally I find that HK and JP Air mail services have been just as good as EMS, although I have had a 15 kg box come EMS from HK in 2 working days!

    I really think names can be hit or miss, but even if you miss you can make it work for you.

    Ultimately name choice is yours and the products will sell if they’re what people want.

    EMS is good but pricey, normal Air (SAL) has been effective for me in the past.

    We used to buy some volume through HLJ and found that they were fairly good at giving a fair price for delivery, especially compared to Toy East.

    Yeah it can take me a few days to a week at times to create a members gallery. Becuase i do them manually it takes a little longer.

    I’m looking at how I can automate the system more but at this stage we all have the extra bit of work 😉

    The Members Gallery system has just been expanded as well so now is an even better time to create one!

    Actually the avatars are still private but the system at the moment can’t tell if someone is recreating a new private avatar with the same URL as another persons private avatar. Once I recode that section it will and avatar theives will be sorry 😉

    And if you pinch someone elses reserved Avatar ask them first!

    I will not tolerate people pinching others Avatars – I can see it in the configs, they show who had what first 😉

    Yeah it’s a built in function of the ESC… it’s more like the ESC in a 1/10th car … I think the new generation Mini-Z also have the brake function…

    As for reviews. I have a Baja Champ, which is functionally identical to the Baja King.

    My feelings are:
    It’s a tough, fun chassis
    It’s not the fastest thing around off-road
    It’s very easy to build and get parts for
    With the addition of oil shocks it gets much better.

    At the price of the Baja King/Champ they make a great entry level fun offroader. They’re not a dedicated buggy though which does have have drawbacks. However the last Tamiya ‘buggy’ is from about 12 years ago and parts are getitng a little harder to find in stock.

    If you’re after something for fun then I wholly recommedn the Baja King/Champ, if you’re thinking of serious racing then there’s probably better (and more expensive) cars out there.

    Ohhh good NiMh AAA batteries (650MaH or better) and a quick charger are a must buy – they’ll boost speed and run time and costs a lot!

    My suggestion would be to buy a stock car, then add bearings, then a Ball Diff, rear dampers and the tor kit which does wonders for the stability of the car. But I would suggest starting out stock (or at most with just bearings). You learn more about the car and get better skills by doing it in stages 😉

    It will also help you develop ideas on how you’d like the car to be setup.

    *nods* I’m thinking 5 stack myself. Seen some pics online and gotta say it looks easier than chipping an xbox (which takes all of about 15 minutes).

    The ‘remote FET’ idea sounds interesting too, a small circut board and a heatsink could do wonders for the longevity 🙂

    I’ll only be running a stocker, but it’s more my desire to maximise all the petential in the stock engine first. Also goign to do a wiring upgrade 😉
