i’m just using the stock motor. i’ll take your advice and swap it out for a clone one:8ball:
probably don’t need the fat wire but i like it. and it all fits in no worries.
the problem i’m having now is the p dash draws current away from the steering, so it won’t turn under throttle. i think it’s the i waver pcb as i had this problem with my i waver and a nelly. i’ll probably have to go for a mid 30’s motor like the s03/4:8ball:
body took about an hour and a half by hand, still got to fine tune the front once the steering is in:8ball:
hmm, we’re all over the place aren’t we!:D
we should lock in the 12th of dec for something as z beam will be in town.
this sunday’s out for me, working:8ball:zz monsters ROCK HARD!!!!!!!!!:p:8ball:
<= what does that say?!:smiley2::8ball:
hmmm, bash day sounds interesting!:p more info please!:8ball:
hot damn boy!:p i’ll be watching this one:8ball:
they ARE xmods!:smiley2::8ball:
i decided to use the xmod body clip for mounting, i just made a spacer and screwed it to the body.:8ball:
all the tamiya motors i’ve got either came from rcmart or bithead. i’d buy them from bithead and get them included in the next shipment to aus:8ball:
the torque tuned is a good motor compared with the x speed and i’ve run one in an i waver with stock fets. only drawback is the cheap and nasty copper brushes but that’s easy fixed:8ball:
hey, pull my finger:8ball:
how about some og muscle?!:p:8ball:

this place has the best prices i know of for radio shack stuff (zip zaps, xmods and tune up kits)

fast reasonable shipping, reliable ebay store:8ball:
pure genius! i’m gonna keep a loaded shotty fulla salt in the lounge room for the next time the cat tries to piss on the floor:dead::8ball:
my one has everything jamies has except the desk stand.
i guess the difference between good ones and cheapies is you can go harder and faster with a good one, being more powerful. so buy a cheapy and go a little slower. compared to doing things by hand this weak and crappy cheapy aint so weak and crappy!:D:8ball:oh yeah? well my last day of high school was 17 years ago, so there!:D:8ball:
bithead, type img and put it in those square brackets[]. then type the url of the image. then type /img and put it in those square brackets[]. i hope that makes sense, if i type the image tags they won’t appear in a post as they’re code for the forum. head up to the faq, there’s all sorts of nonsense you can do to your posts. just ask roe:smiley2:
talldude, no suspension issues with xmod chassis that trouble z’s. there would have been at the front if i didn’t chop it though. but there’s plenty of room in the rear:8ball:
hehehe!:D:8ball:
you’ll be pickin’ up smurf booty in no time with that sled!:D:8ball:
the answer to all those questions is yes, except this one:
Quote:Is nelly the only turbo that works for the monster?i’m sure any turbo that works with any z will work for all of them:8ball:
well i can say that for grinding plastic into shape these rotary tools are fine. i just got all the jobs done that i couldn’t do with my stone age tools. and in about a tenth of the time too! do yaselfa favour and buy one!:smiley16::8ball:
aw darn! i was just about to start a “i hate z owners” thread:p JOKING!!!:8ball:
i’m not sure but i’m having no issues with my modified steering:8ball:
