Leonli, the mini Z are 1/28, a bit bigger than the 1/32 M4wd, these things are aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnncccccccccciiiiiiiieeeeeeeennnnnnnnnttttttttt, been around since i was a lil tacker.

The motors available for these are great, they run on 2 cells, so chuch ’em in a 4 ceell mini Z with a mosfet mod and you have a ripper of a mini Z!!. i.e. Tamiya Mini 4WD plasma dash sees 58km/h on a grossly overweight 200 gram mini Z.

If you scaled up a mini Z to 1:1, it would weigh around 4 1/2 tonnes!!!

I cbf buying any more of these things, though im hooked on F1 (season has ended anyway). They just look good on the shelf.

I have tried to get a vid but i haven’t been able o book a firewire camera, but am working on it.

Speed checker is the #1 tool for tuning mini Z’s, allows you to see the tiniest of performance increase/drop.

The great thing is that you can actually tune the motors.

This mod is really only for looks, the tomy red tyres have 10x more traction than pullback tyres.

I saw a thread on another forum where they quoted a site that has paper bodies that you could print out for your car… Would provide great crash damage….and when its all beat up, have a quick pitstop and print out a new body!!!

Daniel, build it for the shelf, dont race it….could be worth more than that in a few years (maybe)

Nah dan i dont have a spare motor for it 🙁

I was thinking of putting a 4:1 planetary gear box and attaching a tamiya plasma dash, which would give the car the speed of a johnson 540. Not fast or reliable, but could be interesting.

I drained my dads car battery once….he made me push start his Ford Falcon station wagon up the drive way!!! man it took some effort.

One of my friends has an auto car, and the starter solenoid failed……..the only way to “push” start an auto car is to get it upto 60km/h or so…..

Okay, i had a close inspection and found the the wheels are actually in line, the rear motor pod is offset to make sure the wheels are inline, see for yourself.

It torque steers because the gear is on the left side.
