i recomend the motor and gear upgrade set too:8ball:
truth is there’s nothing to be gained by stealing my cc info, only time it’s not maxxed out is about 5 minutes before i place an order!:D:8ball:
the green stuff strikes again!:smiley2: they’re coming along nicelyman, keep us posted:8ball:
i’ve seen a few, that big ugly wing is kinda silly but it’s removeable. one of the best customised mp bodies i’ve seen is by hachi ryoku:8ball:

i had to do the same thing when i first ordered from rcmart and that turned out fine. i think it’s standard procedure for first time customers of online shopping. if they accepted paypal i’d be fine:8ball:
so did you get asked for photographic evidence of you credit card, photo id, mailing address and signature? i’ve been asked to mail it to kwilson (i think) @towerhobbies. it seems legit but i wanna get confirmation from someone else before handing over my guts!:8ball:
i’m trying to order there now but my cc won’t get verified. has anyone else been asked to send a photo copy of their credit card and photo id? i just wanna be sure it’s towerhobbies asking me for this and not a scam.:8ball:
mini z and xmod rims are not compatible unless you’re prepared to do some modding:8ball:
the nelly deluxe is really only for high voltage cars, a regular nelly is all you need imo:8ball:
hey twizm, good to see you!:smiley2:
the official range is here

ebay is your best bet or get a yank to shop for you:8ball:well i’m no techo but this is what i would try first:
the variable resistor (servo pot) is the same value in the i waver and the xmod, 5kohm.
as i’m thinking this up it seems kinda dodgy but here goes.
find a 2.5kohm fixed resistor (or the nearest value) and connect 1 end to the wire that went to the middle terminal on the pot (common). then solder the other 2 servo wires (the outer 2) to the other end of the resistor.like i said, i’m not too sure how to go about it, i dunno about the technical stuff. i just got lucky with a hunch on the iwaver:D
you should wait until someone who knows what they’re on about confirms this, the chance of frying something is too great!:8ball:in the case of the perfection copies, that switch is for permanent boost or 2 speed:8ball:
these are just big bits. non propo (apart from the “booster pcb”), and they have swapable gears and i think motors too. they’re as tuneable as a bit but without the 1:64 appeal:8ball:
it was tempting but i didn’t do it!:D musta been ph2t!:8ball:
thank gawd he rang a friend (electrician) who put 2 and 2 together, any other sparky would have been writing up the “idiot service fee” on the invoice as he was heading over!:8ball:
:smiley2:you bet, especially compared to my dimwitted housemate!:
a few months back we had wild weather and i went to work. about 12 i look at my phone and there’s a panicky sms from dumbo stating the power’s out, what should he do? i write back that he should ask the neighbours if they have power, assuming the whole time that there’s a blackout due to the storms. he writes back that he can’t face them without his morning (?) cuppa and it’s ok as he rang an electrician!!blackeye:
i swear to gawd, sometimes i think this idiot’s sharing a brain with anna nicole smith!!:D:8ball:
i woke up at the start of the storm, it was wild over here! i was without power until 4:30 yesterday but i managed to boil water on the bbq and i powered my little b&w telly with 2 stick packs!:D
we have a wheelbarrow we leave out to catch the rain, usually we know it was heavy rain if it’s half full. when i went out yesterday morning it was full!!:8ball:aww crap!! there’s no sound worse than the clutter and clunk of a dying hard disk!:dead::8ball:
no sweat, glad you got a positive result!:smiley2::8ball:
i think most of us ordered off the net or picked up second hand stuff:8ball:
holy crappers!! 😯 he’s done it again!!:p
the following pics belong to and are the work of TOYO:8ball:

my first guess is the drive fets are toasted. do you feel heat under the chassis when you try the throttle? my guess is you will. i don’t think it’s a broken wire because you would read 0 volts in that case. the fact that you get a slight reading points to the fets in my opinion:8ball:
man i’d wet myself if they asked me to come and play with them in their workshop!
@zbeam, i think you’re right but that’s cool! at least they’ll keep things neat!:D:8ball:
i think it’s awesome, it’s got a real cool anime look about it. it’s going fast standing still!:smiley2::8ball:
merc, that’s true in the case of kyosho stuff, but the iwaver pcb’s just stop dead with no signal.
now i think about it there may be a short out problem. you need to remove the screws that attach the motor to the pcb and lift the pcb up. under there the battery terminals may be touching the pcb itself. put some tape over the battery terminals if needed. i’ve never had a mad force or iw04 but in my iw01 the battery terminals were almost touching the pcb:8ball:
