Aaron, what motor are you running??
I can guarantee my car does better doughies than all of urs, cuz its 2wd and has a 14×2 motor.
Sadly, with all that power and no traction it is a bit of a biatch to keep in a straight line, and it just cant resist wrapping itself around hard objects :sad:
I was thinking of getting a pn racing motor mount, but i would rather spend my cash elsewhere.
I theink the GTR is waaaay too common in the BCG world.
My fav body is the Toms Castrol Supra Race Body, with the pullback wheels it looks sweet and sits low.Well the motor must be a 3.8….
I rekon a bit with smoke pouring out the back would look saweeet.
I think im guna try retuning one of my cars, the range is appauling, it only goes about 1 metre before stopping.
WHAT YOU CAN GET SPARE CHASSIS S?
WHAT YOU CAN GET SPARE CHASSIS’S?
Dont forget that is 10 USD VR-4.
Leon, have you tried the motor in a bit char-g?
And what is the gear ratio???
What battery is this baby running?? Is it the same as tomy’s?Personally my favourite motor is The genuine tomy Micro B 3.0. Why?? Because i think it is the only motor with character, yes it is slow off the line but it has a logarithmic power curve, and i think it is great for track racing, because it is smoothe accelerating, with not too much torque, and has reasonable speed.
For non track work i would say the perfection series is the best, these have serious torque and power.
cant be bothered.
What sort of lithium batteries did you use VR-4?
LOL if i had done that with mine when i got it it would have been a pile of chowder in about 5 seconds, plus you cant just slap in a 21 turn motor cause ull blow the esc.
I think well let barto decide what he wants to do.
Barto, i DO NOT recommend FETS or High power motors at this stage. Trust me, when you pull that car out of the box, assemble it, chuck in some batteries (Dont use alkaline batteries in the car, cause they make the car gutless) i will guarantee you it will have more than enough power to begin with.
I recommend the first mods for your car should be ball bearings, ball diff, carbon h plates (the stock ones will break), tyres and alloy servo gear. These hopups will greatly help the performance of your car.
Once you have got the hang of your car, only then you should think about more power. The x speed is a step up from the stock motor, with more speed, power and torque. It is available for about $16 off dinball. A turbo or fet mod is recommended, as it allows more power to flow through to the motor. Fet mods are considered the best.
You can experiment with handwound motors (very powerful) but as the motor gets more powerful, the runtime decreases.
The type of batteries you run is directly proportional to performance. It doesnt matter if you use Nicad, NiMH or alkaline in the Transmitter, but its a different story for the car.
Using alkaline batteries, the car will have somewhat sluggish performance, and a low top speed. They also have a short runtime on alkaline batteries. Nicad or NiMH batteries can supply more current to the motor, but Nicad lack capacity. NiMH have more ‘explosive’ power response, but there is alot of variation in brands. Jaycar NiMH batteries have o.k. performance per dollar, but there are better cells on the market.
The batteries charge in whatever time depending on what brand charger you have. I can charge my batteries in 5 minutes, only cause i have a good charger.
Quote:Just got my 2 MSPRO Boosters back from Micro and all I can say HELLLLLLYEEEAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!. This mod is awsome !!! I tore up two PCBs attempting to do this mod at home so the price MICRO charges is a bargain to me. I prefer this mod over a dual cell because it is easier to handle and easier to charge and is just about as fast. With 4.2 Pro motors installed, my 2 mspro’s are at least as fast as my dual cell cars and are much faster on a short/medium race track because of the lighter weight and better handling. I can hardly wait for MICRO to complete the my MSPRO Booster dual cell /FET mod. I guess most of already know that MICROAMPS is a cool guy too.Didnt know u did dual cell mods micro!
gee, i have seen lil cameras that only suck about 10ma…why not use rechargeable ones panda?
On the weekend i took my GH2 for a spin. The surface was wet and slippery, and i lost it….and smashed it into a pole, totally smashing the fron of the car in, and making the ‘A’ arms hang off. Ive now fixed it, but the plastic ‘chips’ havent been glued back in place so it looks evil :evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil: :p

Thanks for the tip panda, wouldve been screwed if u hadnt said anything.
Quote:someone put one of these on an epoch and chased their dog around the house…A good alternative would be to put it on a BB tank…then have search and destroy missions
I saw a movie of a tank with a camera mounted on the turret, it was sweet.
lol how creative!
What????? Im talking about the torches that have the 2 pin socket for the bulbs, the leds drop straight in. There is absolutely no soldering required.
You ruined it for me panda…..lol
I think im guna leave my car plastic…and carbon fibre.
so my 2×6 stack will handle down to 21turns, am i right?
ive broken 4 servo gears sofar, i need to find where i can get metal gears.
